Today I have Spoiled by Wet N Wild's Are Mermaids Real to share with you. I love this color! It's a lovely medium purple with tons of gold flecks. Think Zoya Charla if she was purple! I wasn't convinced I would love this color when I saw it in the bottle, but trust me, it is much more amazing on the nail than it is in the bottle. The gold just doesn't shine through as much until it hits the nail. This is 2 coats of Are Mermaids Real? topped with one coat of SV.
Tell me this isn't a stunner! I'm so in love with the combination of this purple and that golden shimmer. Wow! Spoiled has some real beauties in their collection, and this is no exception.
Formula wasn't too bad, but did glop up quickly. Nothing a few drops of thinner can't handle, though. For this mani I used 2 easy peasy coats, and a coat of SV (of course!). Despite being gloppy, I had no issues with balding, drag, or bubbling. Wear on this beauty is wonderful so far. Ive done a ton of dishes, bathed my son, put together countless toys, and generally beat the hell out of my hands today (my cuticles are desperate for some TLC!) and not one hint of wear so far! Of course, this has that wonky brush, but I'm finding as long as expect to have to cover my entire nail with one stroke of that nutty brush, it's not as hard to handle. It does hold onto a ton of polish though, so if I don't cover my entire nail with that first stroke, it will flood. I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, they'll re-think this brush. It's really the only major flaw with these polishes so far.
