Okay, I admit it. I was way too excited about wearing Fantasy Fire and I forgot to take pics of my base color! I promise it's a very pretty deep blue with some subtle purple shimmer, even though Fantasy Fire transforms it into something else altogether.
I can't rave enough about Fantasy Fire, folks. You NEED this polish. So many layering possibilities, and she's just stunning on her own too. Today I chose to layer her over one of my incredibly old-not even sure where I got this polish-polishes, Naturistics Periwinkle Pearl. If you look closely at the edges, you can see her peeking through FF.
I also used a different camera today, so I apologize for all the pics, and the lotion stuck in my cuticles! I decided to play with this camera since my camera frustrates the ever lovin' hell outta me because I can't manually focus or adjust the white balance. This camera is older, but allows me to control the settings, so I wanted to see what it could do. I loved the resulting pics (even though I'm not used to it yet and haven't found my groove!) much more than the pics with my Kodak, so I opted to use them, despite having just moisturized. Hehe. Oops!
Anyway, enough babbling. I'm going to let the pictures do the talking today. This is 1 coat of Fantasy Fire over Periwinkle Pearl, topped with SV (in different lighting conditions so as to show off her many facets!):
I am so in love with Fantasy Fire! I do wish that I had taken some pics of my base color first, since she made my nails flash mostly purple, but there *is* blue under there, so it counts, right? :)
My apologies for the late post as well....It's been a busy weekend here at Case de Kimber, what with Easter and my In-Laws coming into town. I totally forgot it was Easter Weekend, and we were scrambling to get everything done. My family is very involved with our little area of town, and runs a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt, complete with Easter Bunny, Tweety and Sylvester, Sparky the Fire Dog, Firetrucks, Police Cars, food, games, bouncy houses, etc. It's nuts! But the kids have sooooooo much fun. As much as I love working on the blog, I'm also a big fan of real life, so I spend as much quality time there as possible. ;) Honestly I really wish I had more time to blog, and maybe someday things will slow down and I can post daily again. I always look forward to posting here, but I usually have to choose between posting and sleep, and lemme tell ya, I need sleep. I looooooooove sleep. And my 22 month old does not let me sleep. Sleep wins often.
But enough babbling! If you haven't managed to get your hands on Fantasy Fire (a big thanks to Laura at Beauty Lovers Notes for sending this baby my way!), find a way! I lucked out and swapped with Laura, since she wanted a polish that I happened to have easy access to at Sally's (last bottle too!) and she had access to Fantasy Fire. Much cheaper than evilbay, lemme tell ya.
I'm going to stop yammering now. It's late, I'm so tired the room seems to be swaying and I swear I can actually hear my pillow calling to me. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend!
Happy Polishing!
