Nabi Magnetic Nail Polish in Cappucino & Moar Supa Nubbins

Hi Ladies! Hope you're all having a great Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a mani I wore a week ago, right after I super nubbinized, even though I am reluctant to post anything until I get some more length going. This is the mani that made me really miss my nails, and I spent all day after applying this wanting to cry like a baby over it. This color, although really cool, just made my poor nubbins look so horrible. It really highlighted just how short they were/are, and all the little imperfections (like where the nail tore on my index finger, the places where the file just couldn't reach to smooth them out, the dry skin from cleaning and pulling weeds), and just made me a sad panda. I've since embraced the nubs again, even though I lost a little of my newly gained length yesterday since they were finally long enough to start shaping.

This little number is Nabi Magnetic Nail Polish in Cappucino, a foily gold polish that changes to a golden pink when the magnet is applied. I'm digging the variety among the Nabi Magnetics. This girl didn't take the pattern as well as Tawny did, but it's still a pretty combo (just not on my nubs!). I did have a very hard time capturing the pink color shift from the magnet - this color really glows in the light!

Details:
1 coat Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator
1 coat Orly Bonder
2 coats Nabi Magnetic Nail Polish in Cappucino
1 coat Seche Vite

This is really a very cool polish and I'm going to have to re-swatch this girl when my nails grow back.  I know alot of people are over Magnetics now, but I still love them. But then again, I also occasionally like crackles still.

Formula:
Cappucino had a fairly decent formula to it. Thick, but not overly gloppy. It does have some serious staying power, so getting this baby off your skin can be a slight pain and it does leave you with glittery cuticles if you do end up needing any kind of clean up. I maintain glittery cuticles are festive! ;) Just like Tawny, Cappucino has that really odd smell - very chemical and kind of sickly sweet. It takes a few minutes to get past it, but if you can, these magnetics are worth it.

Application:
Application was very smooth with no real issues. It did take a pretty thick second coat to get the magnetic effect to appear consistent, and even then it's not as strong as Tawny was. Pretty standard and uneventful. :)

I'm really digging these Nabi Magnetics. For the price, they're fabulous, and the vast selection of colors is awesome. You can find these babies at Walgreens for $4.99.

Thanks for checking out my poor lil supa nubbins and as always - Happy Polishing!
