Nail tragedy and posting info

I have no idea why I rarely break a nail when I have decent length, yet the minute I take my length down I will without fail immediately break a nail down to the quick. Drives me batty.  I took down my length the other day, and have been struggling with their quirky shape anyway, but today right after finding a shape I could live with, I got into a battle with the toaster oven and lost. Tore my index nail right down to the quick. I'm pretty bummed since I can't stand the way my nails look when they are super nubbins. Short I actually like sometimes. But super nubbins? My fingers look fat and stubby and my nails are shaped funny and no amount of filing makes them look any better.

I'll still be posting, but more than likely only once a week or so until I get some length back. I have a few manis ready to post, although my really awesome orange to red gradient didn't photograph well and I tried a different topcoat and it bubbled badly. I may or may not post it. I do have a jordana glitter and a Spun Sugar Mani to post over the next few days, but after that posts will be once or twice a week. I just can't stand how nails look at the moment. This may change as they start to grow (thankfully they grow super fast), but at the moment? Ugh. I has a sad.
