Colour Blocking

With spring turning trees green, letting the sun warm me up, I suddenly had a need to go all in with colour blocking. Why not? I thought, why be afraid of looking like a circus if that is what's in right now. And why not begin my life as a colour blocker at the christening of my little beautiful niece?

Besides, one week ago I couldn't help but buy these fatastical harem pants at Vila, which were perfect for my butt and the fabric is worth everything. They were approximately £35

And then I'm going to mix them up with this flowy romantic chiffon top in a pretty coral colour. This will not show how much I will eat , that I'm not wearing spanx and furthermore I'll be able to breathe. From Vero Moda bought on sale for £9

In my dreams I'll put on these magenta heels from Topshop (£60) or something yellow or bright green from Zara for £39 (shown beneath)

But, the shoes will be for dreaming only

I will not wear tons of accessories because the colour blocking is enough statement for one day. Also my red hair will be somewhat sleek, but my makeup will be a colourful event. I'm going to do a purple smoky eye, very subtle, but inspired by Etro's summer beauty look:
Ooh those glowing cheeks I have to copy... I'll do my lips in a matte babydoll pink by mixing two lipsticks from Maybeline to get the nuance I want.

Wish me luck with the colour blocking. I'll post a pic of how it ends up.
