I guess it's not all that bronze, it's more just warm/golden. Well, whatever haha. I did a tutorial for it. Sometimes I have a hard time doing tutorials because I don't really know what I'm going to do when I start. Sometimes what I picture myself doing is not at all what I end up doing. But I knew I wanted a simple look today so here we go!
-I had already primed my lid with Too Faced Shadow Insurance and had put a layer of NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil in "milk" on my lid. My cousin Cari had asked if I could try to show how I apply my shadow and I have to say that it's really hard to get a picture that shows how you're doing it so I'll do my best to explain.
-I had taken a bronze color from my 88 palette and my Studio Tools smudge brush from Target (which I love) and patted the color all over my lid. I do that when I want the color to be intense. I do that with almost all of my lid colors, I very rarely sweep a color across my lid.
-Next I took my Sonia Kashuk fluffy blending brush (also from Target) and swept (so I'd get a light layer of color) a skintone color (Inglot 352 M) from the bottom of my brow to where I stopped the bronze
-I took the same fluffy brush and swept a warm golden orange (Inglot 407 P) across top of the bronze and dragged it up toward my brow doing windshield wiper motions, bringing the color in almost the shape of a rainbow, with the color being most concentrated at the bottom. In any look I do, I almost never apply shadow in the space between my highlight area and about where I stopped the bronze, it's all blended up into that space. Very rarely do I place a color there (does that make sense??).
-I took another Sonia Kashuk brush and patted my highlight color on (MAC Vanilla pigment) and slightly dragged it down into the golden orange
-I went back with my fluffy brush and blended that better, sweeping up from the orange, not down from the highlight.
-I added quite a thin line of gel liner (Bobbi Brown "Black Ink") and tried to smudge it a little as I was applying it since I want this to be a soft look.
-I added a bit of a darker brown (Inglot 363 M) over top of the bronze and the liner to give it some depth and soften the liner some more
-And because I want this to be a fun look, I decided to add some gold glitter liner from NYX under my eyes (it has nothing to do with the fact that I just got this liner the other day and really wanted to use it... haha). I also added mascara
-I have some bronzer-ed cheeks with a bit of MAC Vanilla pigment as my cheek highlight and am wearing my new favorite lipgloss (NYX Nude Pink... it's GORGEOUS, it's a bit lighter than my natural lip color but it doesn't make me look sick). I also put a bit of white eyeliner on my waterline to make my eyes look a bit more awake (my waterline tends to be VERY pink and it doesn't look good haha).
And I'm all done!
See. So easy, so simple, and perfectly summer appropriate (even more so if you use waterproof mascara, especially if you live somewhere humid like I do!)! I hope my descriptions made sense. I hope you guys are having a great week! And I hope you are all staying safe with all of this crazy weather that's been going on everywhere! Thank you all so much for checking this out! I really appreciate all of your support!!!
