Hello Lovelies! Happy Friday! I will have a Flakie Friday post up for you all this afternoon, but since I am playing catch up, you get another awesome polish this morning! Woohoo!!
First things first though, Don't forget to enter my 500 Follower giveaway! There are daily entries, so make sure to grab those. Please note, Facebook share entries do not count unless they are posted on YOUR OWN TIMELINE! I am seeing a number of entries posted to *my* page, and those don't count as a share.
You may recall my raving about a new Indie brand called Fuse Nail Polish - and today I have another pretty from the awesome ladies at Fuse to share with you. I'm really excited about this one, since this was the first Fuse polish that I came across and I was so amused by the name that I just had to look. Turns out the polish is just as awesome as the name!
Zombie Snot (ha ha!) isa killer mix of small black circle glitters and larger neon green hexes in a clear base. As gross as it sounds, the green hex glitters do remind me of some not so healthy snot! I have to admit that I agonized over my base color on this one, originally using a bright lime green, but I really wanted the green glitters to stand out! I re-swatched this baby over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, my fave not-blinding-but-still-very-bright-white, and BAM! Just what I wanted!
This combo made this hard to photograph since it was kind of blinding! It was definitely an eye-catcher, since I was stopped a few times and asked about my polish. :)
This is 2 coats of Fuse Nail Polish in Zombie Snot over OPI MBSW:
Bear with me here, I'm re-learning how to light and photograph my left hand, since I was swatching on my right hand for so long!
I really dig this glitter! I love black glitters in general, but that neon green really gives this some serious pop. I really like this girl over greens, but I think over white is my fave combo so far.
Zombie Snot's formula was wonderful - no thickening during use, no clumping with the smaller glitters and no fishing for the large green hexes. Application was easy peasy with even glitter distribution and fast dry time. Zombie Snot did not dry very textured at all, so all I needed was my usual top coat to keep things nice and smooth. Love it!
I am already a big fan of Fuse Nail Polish. If you have yet to take a peek at their polish, head on over to Fuse Nail Polish on Big Cartel and have a look around! Full size bottles run $8.00 each and the colors and finishes are all gorgeous! You can also save 20% off your order by using code "kimberskorner" at checkout! That's a great deal, so go show them some love!!!
What do you think of Zombie Snot? Are you a fan of black glitter combos?
I'll be back later this afternoon with some Daring Digits for Flakie Friday, so check back soon!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
