Hello again lovelies! Happy Saturday Night! I don't know about you all, but I'll be sticking close to the homefront tonight. I received some really beautiful Love, Angeline polishes from the upcoming Smoke & Mirrors Collection, so I'll be doing some more swatching.
Tonight I have a simply magical polish to share. I won this pretty in a giveaway a few weeks ago, and let me tell you..I worked HARD to win this one. Daily entries are my friend! I just had to have this polish!
Femme Fatal Mana Ruby is an eye-popping mix of iridescent blue and matte red hexes in a red-pink Jelly base. This baby is seriously stunning - you really have to see it IRL to believe it. It's oh so squishy and so very vibrant. She's a bit tough to capture in photographs though, so you have to use your imagination just a bit.
Since Mana Ruby is fairly sheer and there are a ton of swatches of this baby on her own, I chose to layer her over matching undies. This is 2 coats of Mana Ruby over 1 coat of Essie Head Mistress, topped off with Glossy Glam Top Coat:
Oh. My. God. How amazing is this polish!?!?!?! It's just so glowy and squishy and fabulous! I thought that layering Mana Ruby over a similar red might take away from the squishy goodness, but IRL it is incredibly squishy. I can't wait to wear this alone now. I love a versatile polish.
Now let's have a macro!
Look at those iridescent glitters - Yowza!!! I'm a sucker for iridescent glitters anyway, but these blue-to-purple glitters in that bright base? It's like I've died and gone to polish heaven. And those large Matte Red Hexes don't hurt either!
Mana Ruby's formula was perfect - great consistency with just the right amount of glitter. Application was smooth and easy with no dragging or balding. I did have to do some slight fishing for the larger red glitters, but since they're not supposed to be abundant, it's not a huge issue. If you choose to wear Mana Ruby without undies, you'll need 2-3 coats for good opacity, and since it is a true jelly polish, you will see some slight VNL regardless of number of coats. Dry time was fast and wear is excellent with no chips or signs of wear at over 24 hours.
Mana Ruby is my very first Femme Fatale polish and I am hooked. I definitely need more! Any suggestions?
You can find Femme Fatal Cosmetics at femmefatalecosmetics.com.au , however they do not ship polish outside of Australia. The good news is that you can find Femme Fatale polishes at Llarowe, and Color 4 Nails. You can also follow Femme Fatale Cosmetics on Facebook and Instagram for new releases, sales info, and more.
Do you own Mana Ruby? What's your fave Femme Fatale Polish?
I'll be back tomorrow with some Gypsyanna Polish for ya!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
