Stamping-31 Day Challenge

Hola!!
Ya me había olvidado del reto jeje, hoy el tema es ''Stamping'' y aunque todavía soy nueva en esta técnica realmente me encanta por que es muy relajante jeje no tener que preocuparte de hacer lineas perfectas aunque lo que mas amo es pintar a mano, el stamping me ayuda a relajarme de vez en cuando.

Esta vez quise intentar estampar con 4 colores diferentes a la vez, usé los esmaltes de la marca Sally Hansen Xtreme Colors:

• Lacey lilac
• mellow yellow
• green with envy
• blue me away

Como base usé Pure Ice platinum magic base coat, aunque me gustó el resultado creo que la próxima vez intentar con un disenio mas grande. 

31 Day Challenge (v.2!) Day 9: Rainbow Nails

Morning Ladies! It's day 9 of the challenge, and I have to tell you guys, I was so uninspired here. I love Rainbow manis on other people, but I don't like them on me for some reason. I had come up with a few ideas, but didn't like them once I had them done, so I would end up removing them and starting over. In the end, I went with some good old stamping and called it a day.

I don't think this turned out too bad, although my yellow just would not cooperate and kept smearing all over the plate. Unfortunately it's the only opaque yellow I own, so I was stuck with its wonky smeariness. Thankfully IRL they don't look bad at all, but in macro mode? Eh, they're kinda messy where the yellow blends (or actually refused to blend) in. But hey, It's rainbow and it's on time so that's a win in my book!

For this hot mess mani I used Sinful's Snow Me White as my base, then used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red, Sun Kissed, and Mellow Yellow. The Green is Sinful's Envy, and the Blue is Essence Walk On Air.

The funny thing is that this mani ended up growing on me despite the evil yellow (Remember our yellow manis and how lost of us had issues with our yellow polish? I swear yellow is just evil!). In fact, I'm still wearing it! It's coming off later today since I am expecting some birthday stamping plates and polishes, but it was actually kind of fun to wear something I wouldn't normally wear.

Anyway, here is my less than stellar Rainbow Mani in all it's glory!

It's not too bad, right? Not my best work but hey. After 2 failed attempts this was all I had left in me. I do not haz mad Rainbow skillz! ;)

Surf Rainbow Nails-Unias de surf (arcoiris)

Hola!!!

ufff ya hace varios dias que no escribo nada, mil disculpas, han sido dias dificiles para mi, pero ya aqui les tengo un disenio muy colorido y no se de donde salio la inspiracion, yo solo comence a pintar y salio esto jeje, mi hermana vio mis unias y me dijo que parecian tablas de surf! y de ahi el nombre del post jeje

Estas manicure la pinte con un pincel chico cuadrado y con pintura acrilica con la tecnica de doble carga de color en el pincel (one stroke)

I forgot to take a picture of these ones until about a week and a half after I painted them, so excuse the scruffiness and the nail polish spilt all over them!

St. Patrick's day manicure-Unias de dia de san patricio

Hola!!!

Hoy es dia de san patricio asi que pense en hacer una manicura relacionada con este dia, aqui en mexico no lo celebramos pero se que algunas lectoras si lo celebran, de todos modos pensaba usar un esmalte verde jeje

El disenio es muy sencillo pero bonito, ayer recibi muchos piropos por mis unias :D
y decidi usar un esmalte mas vivo por que he visto que en otros disenios con respecto a este dia se usan verdes muy apagados o muy oscuros.

Basicamente lo que tienen que hacer es pintar la unia con el esmalte verde (yo use de la marca sinful colors innocent) y despues ir agregando pequenias lineas de colores en la media luna de tu unia y al ultimo un toque de glitter dorado y listo!!!

Dicen que este esmalte (innocent) es un ''dupe'' o una copia de ''who the shrek are you'' de la marca opi

RAINBOW LEOPARD

TRUST IN FASHION EVENT

I painted nails last week at the Trust In Fashion event, in association with Marie Claire and Storm Models. 

The event was to raise money and awareness about the brilliant Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. To find out about the charity and some of the fantastic work they do, click here.

Lots of nails got painted over the two day event, and here is a selection of them. I created a special rainbow nail art menu for the event, which some people went for, but some people just went for the normal designs.
