Bruno Mars Nails Version 2.0-Nude animal print

Hola!!
Wow se pasan los días volando y yo sin poder publicar nada :(, mi hijo entro al colegio!! y el trabajo me han mantenido ocupada y un poco lejos del blog.

Pasando al tema de el diseño de hoy, es en parte nuevo y en parte no jeje, recuerdan mi manicura anterior de Bruno Mars al cual amo!! bueno pues como no quise borrarme su hermoso rostro de mis uñas lo único que hice fue remover el diseño de todas las uñas menos el retrato de Bruno aunque ya esta un poco dañado.

El tema fue animal print, él usa mucho el leopardo en sus vestuarios y me pareció buena idea seguir con ese tema, quería algo muy simple así que pinte mis uñas con un color Nude y sobre el pinte las marcas distintivas de los leopardos, una vez seco puse una capa de China Glaze Matte Magic y listo!!

Muchas personas que me ven las uñas me dicen que les encantan! :D ustedes que opinan??

Zebra!

I was doodling in my sketchbook a couple of weeks ago and came up with this look. You all know how fond I am of leopard print and when I thought about doing more animal print makeup looks the zebra print was a must-do! It actually turned out better in real life than I thought it would.

The zebra pattern was drawn with a liquid eyeliner and for those of you who want to know how to replicate this; I'm sorry but I don't know any shortcuts. You actually will have to draw this pattern by hand.

When doing creative makeup like this look you will sooner or later get the question "Do you really go out wearing that??!". First of all, there is nothing wrong with wearing makeup like this out (even for work if your employer permits you to do so!) as long as it's something you feel comfortable with. Something that you feel is part of your personality. For me, however, it is not, so the answer to the question above will be no, I don't go out with makeup like this. "Then why the hell do you do looks that you don't feel comfortable wearing out??!!" Hah! I saw that one coming from miles away and I'm already armed with an answer: Because I feel like it. It's as simple as that. The creative process is often more enjoyable for me than actually wearing a look.

31 Day Challenge: Animal Print

I've been waiting for this day in the challenge!

 I've always been far to intimidated to post any animal prints. They usually end up all lumpy and nasty looking but this time it worked out well for me.  At least as far as the lumpiness goes.

The full nail is in 'Baby Blue' by Nicole.  The leopard dots are in Quo 'Blue Skies' and another no name mini bottle of Quo.

31 Day Challenge (v.2!) Day 13: Animal Print!

Morning Ladies! Before I post my challenge mani for today, I have to warn everyone that I am changing my comment settings. I have been getting an insane amount of comment spam, so I'm going to be accepting comments from registered users only - no Anonymous comments. I hate to do it, but "Anonymous" is spamming me like crazy!

Now, onto the mani!

Today's prompt is Animal Print, and since Leopard, cheetah, zebra, tiger, etc pop up often (although I love them and was very close to doing leopard print), I decided to take it a bit more literally.  I'm silly that way.  I also chose to show them right side up since I didn't want anyone to have to flip upside down to see what my accent nail is. ;)

For this literal mani, I used OPI I Vant To Be A-Lone star as my base color (I love this color. I used it last time I did the challenge as well), and used black acrylic paint for the nail art. I also added some sparkly blue and silver for a little teeny tiny pop. Check it out!

Kitteh! Kind of a lumpy kitteh, but it's still a kitteh! And hey, paw prints are technically animal print, right?

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, even if my kitteh is a bit wonky. It's hard to create a standing cat on a tiny nail! Kudos to those who do it well!

pink wednesday nails/ unias de miercoles rosa

Hola!!!

Otro miercoles de rosa!! bueno otra vez posteo tarde mi manicura rosa, pero vale la pena ya que es el segundo esmalte que uso en tono primaveral!! yay por la primavera!!!!!

Ya tenia ganas de empezar a usar colores vivos y brillantes  como este que les voy a presentar de la marca China Glaze y se llama ''pink voltage (neon)'', es un color neon y un rosa con tonos escondidos  morados lo cual lo hace hermoso y diferente de cualquier otro rosa brillante, no soy una amante del rosa pero a este le doy mi aprobacion.

Y para no dejar mis unias tan planas decidi asentuar mi manicura decorando solo el dedo indice con ''animal print''

 Este es el color mas cercano a como se ve en persona, y todas las fotos son sin top coat ya que me gusto como se seco con acabado matte :D

I did these ones on my own nails. It doesn't happen very often that I say this - but I think these nails might be my favourite design that I've ever thought of! I found them very satisfying!

31 Day Challenge Day 13: Animal Print! & why the heck are my nails suddenly shaped weird?

Hi guys! Very quick post today, since it's been a long day in my world, and I'm not feeling all that great. My daughter just got over a stomach bug and I'm feeling like I may be its next victim. So, right to today's mani!

Today's challenge was Animal Print. I had originally planned to Konad for this one, but no matter which animal print stamp I used, nothing really felt right. I ended up freehanding some tiger stripes instead. I used Essie Bangle Jangle for my base, sponged on some Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Pronto Purple, striped with China Glaze VIII and dabbed on a bit of Sinful Colors Frenzy. Here is the finished mani:

And Worst Macro Ever!

I'm pretty pleased with my tiger stripes! This is the first time that I have attempted freehand animal print of any kind, and it was much easier than I had expected!  It also gave me a great excuse to try out the striping brushes that I picked up earlier this week. :)

I'm going to throw this out here in case you guys have any ideas: The nails on my middle and ring finger are literally changing shape overnight these days. They are starting to curve inward at the corners, and some days my ring finger has an indentation right where the nail meets the fingertip on the side. When I say literally overnight, I mean it is one shape when I go to bed, and a completely different shape when I wake up. Some days they're both totally normal. I'm stumped. Any ideas, ladies?? You can see it in the pics of today's mani, the ring finger being especially obvious. Any advice here is much appreciated. I'm not willing to get rid of my length over it, though. So that solution is out! ;)
