BG Cosmetics Party Like A Rockstar Collection - LSD

*Product(s) Featured purchased by me. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello Lovelies! Happy Tuesday! It's not a bad day around here - KLK got a makeover yesterday and thanks to the amazing Ketlyn, I now have a banner that I actually like! Speaking of blogs and code and stuff, if any of you are having issues making the disclosure buttons work, shoot me an email and I can help you get them working. Some of the code needs to be tweaked, same with the HTML.

The giveaway is still going strong! 2 lucky winners will receive the entire 10 bottle set of Daring Digits brand new 80's Hits Collection! There are 2 daily entries as well, so don't forget to grab those. Also, if I hit 500 GFC followers during the giveaway, I'll add another giveaway to the mix!

If you missed it on facebook, I suffered a bad break, and my left hand is now seriously nubbinized. Yup, it's shorter than the last post - almost super nubbins at the moment. You're going to be seeing my right hand for a couple weeks, until my left is back to a semi-decent length, since even though I don't mind nubbins, my uber shorties reveal just how uneven my nail beds are, which makes my OCD rage! My middle nail looks like it's twice as short as the rest, but in reality that nail bed is smaller than the others. I hope you don't mind staring at my stilettos for a bit, and I'm sure the nubs will make an appearance here and there. But, let's check out some polish!

Today I have a polish that I have been dying to wear since I opened the package. You all know that I have been a huge fan of BG Cosmetics since Ketlyn first opened shop, and I will continue to adore and support her business until the Zombie Apocalypse. So when she released the "Party Like A Rockstar" Collection a few weeks ago, I grabbed it up right away. This collection is comprised of 4 polishes, all of which are jam packed with awesome glitter combos and are so bright and colorful that they're almost blinding.

LSD is an incredible mix of red, black, and blue bar glitter mixed with blue, yellow, red, and green hex glitter. It's bright and happy, and looks like a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes swirling on the nail.  I knew I had to layer this over some sort of blue, so I grabbed Essie Go Overboard, a killer deep teal, and I gotta tell ya, I love the results!

This is 2 coats of LSD over 2 coats Essie Go Overboard. I apologize for the glare here, but my top coat is so shiny that there's no way around it! (I'll be posting about my awesome top coat later today)Also ignore the owie on my pinkie. I slipped while manicuring. Oops!

*Sigh*. How can you not be happy just looking at this polish?? It's amazing! Look at those colors, the vibrancy, just wow!!!

LSD's formula was sheer perfection - I don't have a bad word to say about it. The glitters spread onto the nail like butter with no clumping or glopping. I was worried about the bar glitters since they are so tiny and thin, but I had no issues there, they lay flat on the nail and stayed put. Likewise, application was a breeze, with no need to hand place glitters or push bar glitter back from the edges. This baby was just a dream to work with, and I cannot wait to wear this again and again and again.

If you have yet to experience the magic that is BG Cosmetics, I suggest heading on over to BG Cosmetics on Etsy and taking a peek. All BG Cosmetics polish is 3-free, cruelty free, and hand made. Bottles are on the large side, and will run you $10 each for Opaque glitters with Diamond Dust, and $8.50 for glitter toppers. You can also grab entire sets for around $35, which is a steal for these babies! Ketlyn also makes some of the best wearing, non irritating eyeshadow I have ever used. I have incredibly sensitive eyes, and I have to be very careful about my eye makeup. 90% of the brands out there make my eyes irritated and watery, to the point where I have to remove my eye makeup unless I feel like having dripping, smeary eyes. BG Cosmetics eyeshadows do not irritate my eyes in the slightest, and the colors are vibrant, buildable, blendable and incredibly long wearing (I can go a full 12 hours without needing a touch up). Eyeshadows are only $5 each, which is a serious steal!

I could rave about BG Cosmetics products all day long, but I really feel that you need to try them for yourself. So feel free to use code KimbersKorner for 15% off your purchase! Don't forget to follow BG Cosmetics on Facebook  for updates, sales, and new releases.

What do you think of LSD? Are you a fan of bright glitter bombs?

Stay tuned for an awesome Top Coat post later...you won't want to miss this one!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Bitch Glitz Cosmetics Dark Side of Town Collection: Resident Evil

Hiya Lovelies! It's a little later than anticipated, but here is my second post of the day!

A few weeks ago while browsing Etsy, I stumbled upon a new Indie Brand called Bitch Glitz. Since there is no way you can avoid checking out a brand with a name as awesome as that, I immediately checked out the store and placed an order. Since then I have been lucky enough to befriend Ketlyn, the mastermind behind BG Cosmetics, and have fallen in love with the brand and just adore the person behind it.

Today's polish is from the Dark Side of Town Collection. Resident Evil (man, I love those movies, and the games!) is an awesome mix of Black Bar, Hex, square, and the occasional large Round glitter in a deep, shimmery burgundy red base. Hidden in the mix are some red star glitters as well. I've been dying to wear this baby and finally decided swatch schedule be damned, this is going on my nails!

All photos are 3 coas of Resident Evil topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat (note: even though my pics make this look a but bumpy in places, that's actually some of the star glitter poking through. My camera had a hard time capturing those, but if you look closely, you'll see them):

I really wish that I was able to capture the depth of this polish, but it's all but impossible. IRL the glitters really shine, and the burgundy red base is vibrant and stunning. I am so glad that I took the plunge and bought this collection!

Formula:
As with most Indie polish, Resident Evil is thicker than mainstream polish, but is still smooth and buttery. No thickening during use, no glopping, and no clumpy glitters.

Application:
Resident Evil applied smoothly and evenly. Although it is a bit streaky on the first coat it evens out perfectly with the second. No dragging, balding, or glopping. The glitters placed nicely, although if you want more of the large round glitters you may have to fish a bit. I managed to grab at least 2 for each hand, although I wanted to show those off so I grabbed one for each nail during my last coat. RE will reach opacity with 2 coats, however I added a third since I banged a nail against the table and needed a quick fix.;) Resident Evil doesn't dry all that textured, but I added a coat of Gelous to ensure a smooth finish.

Despite being a very new Indie Brand, Bitch Glitz makes some very impressive polishes. If you aren't familiar with Indie Polishes and their formula, you may find application a bit tricky, but if you go slow and use thin coats then you'll have no problem.

All Bitch Glitz Cosmetics poishes are 3-free and made with top quality ingredients, including a dash of diamond dust! Full size bottles retial for $10.00, full collections for $35. Ketlyn is also amazing at custom creations (I'll be showing you 2 that she created for me this week) so if you have a polish in mind, shoot her a note! She'll definitely be able to bring your vision to life.

You can find Bitch Glitz on Etsy (clicky clicky!) and you can also save 15% off your entire order by using the code below! I'll be showing you the Bitch Glitch Valentine's Collection this week, as well as June Pearl and Courageous Heart (Created in honor of my mother and Lung Cancer patients/survivors everywhere) this week.

*Please note that if you search etsy for Bitch Glitz, you will need to search by Bitsch Glitz, due to TOS restrictions and blah blah blah.*

What do you think of Resident Evil? Have you checked out Bitch Glitz's awesome creations yet?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Laquerlicious St. Patrick's Lucky Day

Hello there Lovelies! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! It's a cold and snowy Monday here, which means bright, sparkly polish to go with the bright, sparkly snow!

Today I have another stunner from Laquerlicious to share with you. When Michelle sent me her Valentine's Day Collection to review, she also included an awesome St.Patrick's Day Polish! I've really been digging greens over the past few months, so I could not wait to wear this! St. Patrick's Lucky Day (SPLD) is an absolutely gorgeous mix of green and gold Hex, Square, Bar, and microglitter in a barely tinted green base. The base is so light that you can definitely use this for layering, but it's still there just enough to wear alone. I chose to wear this girl with no undies since it's...well, just incredible on it's own.

All photos are 2 (yup! Only 2!) coats of St. Patricks's Lucky Day topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat:

Look at that sparkle! And the green and gold combo is just so beautiful!

Formula:
As usual, St. Patrick's Lucky Day bears the usual fabulous Laquerlicious formula. Always usable straight from the bottle, thick yet never gloppy, and no clumps of glitter.

Application:
This baby applied like a dream. The brush delivered the perfect amount of glitter with each stroke, without dragging, glopping, or clumping at the tips. No hand placing or fishing for larger pieces as well. Dry time was VERY quick, even before fast drying top coat. It does dry somewhat textured, so I recommend a coat of Gelous or Glitter Food before topcoating for a super smooth, shiny surface.

Once again, Michelle has impressed me beyond belief. This is the 7th Laquerlicious polish I have worn, and they have all been consistent with formula and application. Laquerlicious is one of my top 5 Indie brands (I'll have to post that list, huh?), and I urge all of you Indie glitter fans to check out Michelle's amazing creations.

ALl Laquerlicous polishes are 3-free and made with high quality ingredients. Full size bottles retail for $8.50, but Michelle has a sale running now where you can snag full size bottles for only $5!!! You can find Laquerlicious polish at LaquerliciousUnity on Etsy (make with the clicky!). The Valentine's Day Collection is now listed, and St.Patrick's Lucky Day will be available soon.

I'll also have swatches of 2 of Michelle's newest babies, from her Polish for Pitbulls Collection. Both polishes were created for Fresno Bully Rescue and retail for $15.00 each. $10 from each bottle goes directly to Fresno Bully Rescue. This is a great cause and one I am definitely behind. I spent 8 years as a Vet Tech working in Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery. I worked with TONS of pitbulls, and I have to tell ya....they are the sweetest dogs. The media portrays these poor sweeties as monsters, but the breed itself is not mean. Unfortunately many people breed and buy bullies for status and train them to be vicious fighting dogs. These dogs are not inherently mean, and I've been bitten by many breeds...NONE OF THEM were bullies. Not a single one. The breed itself is sweet, loyal, wonderful with children and other animals, and would not hurt a fly. Before you believe the hype, remember that ANY breed can be taught to be vicious...bullies are just chosen beause of their body type and strength. Get to know a bully...I guarantee you'll be amazed at just how sweet these babies are.

Fresno Bully Rescue is located in Fresno California. They are a nonprofit organization that rescues pit bulls (bullies) and pit bull like breeds. They have done SO much for this breed but sadly, they replace the ones they adopt out 2 to 1. Help control the pet overpopulation! They are being euthanized in huge numbers because there just aren’t enough homes for all the ones being born. Be a responsible pet owner. Spay and neuter!

Okay, now that I have rambled on there....what do you think of St. Patrick's Lucky Day? Are you feeling greens yet since Pantone has named Emerald the Color of The Year?

Be sure to check back for a gorgeous polish by Bitch Glitz, and some Polish TBH!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
