Hello Lovelies! Yay for Friday! Normally this means Flakie Friday, but I actually have 2 posts for you all today. I'm trying to get some catch up done, as well as finding some time to go and comment on blogs. Of course, I'm also so tired that I'm literally swaying back and forth. One of these days I will sleep like a normal person.
In case I haven't mentioned it before, I am a HUGE Daft Punk fan. Die Hard, obsessed, secretly hoping Guy-Man will somehow end up single and run into me somewhere and be my little baguette for all eternity kind of fan. I'm that fan that knows every word of "Technologic" and can actually manage to make it through each verse without running out of breath.
So it's only fitting that today's first post is the 2nd polish from Fandom Cosmetics RAM Collection. This is the collection that I begged Fandom to create, and they obliged, creating 4 incredible polishes matching photos that I sent of live shows and videos. This incredible glitter is called "Don't Stop The Dancing", and is inspired by this image of Daft Punk performing "One More Time" during their "Alive 2007" tour.
When I first saw pictures of this polish, I literally gasped. Fandom managed, once again, to take the image that was my inspiration and bottle it up. Don't Stop The Dancing is a vibrant mix of
blue, indigo, ocean spray green, eden pink, and deep purple holographic hex, as well as bright yellow dots in a clear base. And it's just as in-freaking-credible as it sounds.
Although Don't Stop The Dancing is a serious Glitter Bomb (opaque in 2-3 coats), I decided that I needed to pair it with an Indigo/Blurple Base. Ya know, cause I could. ;)
This is 1 coat of Don't Stop The Dancing over Sinful Colors Into The Blue, topped with Glossy Glam Top Coat:
Can I just say.......Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! So much love!!!!!!!!!!! This polish is just incredible. Jaw dropping, eye popping, can't stop staring incredible. In fact, I was literally stopped at 3 different stores by groups of women wanting to see this polish. * Beams* I guess my inspiration for this one is good, no? Just look at those colors....*sighs*. I will wear this polish so many times that I will probably need at least 5 backup bottles.
Don't Stop The Dancing's formula is simply perfect. Just the right mix of glitter and base, perfect consistency. Application was stellar as well - no clumps of glitters, no curling glitters, and even coverage. It would seem like you would have to do a little fishing for those yellow circle glitters, but nope! I didn't fish or hand place a single one. DSTD has excellent dry time as well. It does dry just a touch textured when layered, so I'd add some Glitter Food if you wear this alone.
One of the things I always need to mention with Fandom polishes is that these glitters are unbelievable shiny and vibrant. The colors are so saturated, blindingly shiny, and the holo glitters are amazingly reflective. I sweat Fandom uses the most gorgeous glitters out there.
Once again, Fandom Cosmetics blows me away. I knew that this collection would be everything that I had dreamed of, but it's just mind-blowingly perfect. I have 2 more from the RAM Collection to share with you guys this coming week, and trust me - they are EPIC. Even if you're not a Daft Punk fan, these are beautiful, versatile, and a stellar addiction to any polish addict's stash.
If you have yet to check out what Fandom Cosmetics has to offer (you really need to....honest!), You can head on over to FandomCosmetics.com to take a peek. Fandom specializes in fan-based polish - literally something for everyone - from Harry Potter, Star Trek, Sailor Moon, Hunger Games, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, and a whole ton more. A Star Wars collection is in the works (keep an eye out for swatches!) as well. Full size bottles run $8.50, full collections $30.50 . Make sure to follow Fandom Cosmetics on Facebook and Instagram for sales, new releases and more.
And if you missed the big announcement....Fandom Cosmetics is actually none other than our own Ketlyn Austen, formerly of BG Cosmetics and her awesome partner, Jessica. Keeping that secret really sucked! However, I had no clue it was Ketlyn when I first started eyeing Fandoms's polishes and adding them to my wishlist. Are you surprised??? (I was!)
What do you think of Don't Stop The Dancing? Any Daft Punk fans out there??
I'll be back later this evening with an epic polish from Polish TBH for Flakie Friday (You DO NOT want to miss it.....it's a doozy!).
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber

Daring Digits: Popped
Hello lovelies ! I hope you're all having a better week than I am. I am sick as a dog! I'm not sure what this virus is, but it feels like a flu strain. Thankfully I have my flu shot, so I won't get the full blown flu. Back in February of 2009 I managed to contract Influenza A and was hospitalized for a week. Since then I always make sure to get my flu shot. I can still contract a flu-type virus, but get to avoid the extended hospital stay and assisted breathing and blacking out that comes with the actual flu.
I did manage to polish last night, which is a feat in and of itself given how horrid I feel. But I'm so behind from last week and now this cold, that I just have to push through. Plus I miss blogging. I miss my readers. Whine whine whine. ;) Let's take a peek at some awesome polish!
Today I have a really awesome polish from Daring Digits to share with you all. Since I am so sick, I wanted something really colorful and happy to boost my spirits. Daring Digits Popped is just that: a bright and happy mix of rainbow matte and shred glitters in a clear base. It reminds me of those balloons that are full of confetti and create a confetti cloud when popped. Love it! And it really did boost my mood.
This is 2 thin coats of Daring Digits Popped over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (these were taken with the Rebel T4i, which I'm still adjusting to. Please be gentle!):
I love Rainbow Glitter, I really do. And Popped is perfect! I love the mix of matte and shred glitters girl!
Formula:
Popped is one of those glitter toppers that has my favorite kind of formula - thick enough to carry the glitter, yet thin enough to easily control the mount of glitter on the brush. I had no issues with clumping glitters or a thickening base here.
Application:
Fabulous! Popped applies easily and as I mentioned before, I was able to control the amount of glitter in each stroke. I had no issues with fishing for glitters, and no stray curling glitters. Popped does not dry all that textured, although I added a coat of Essence Nail Art Sealer for some added protection. Coverage is even and opacity really depends on how much pop you're looking for. I'm wearing 2 thin coats here since I wanted a lot of color, but 1 coat looks just as awesome and gives a stark manicure a wonderful pop of color.
Popped really was the perfect choice to boost my bummer of a mood. I love this baby over white, but I cannot wait to try it over black! The glitters are so vivid that I'm betting it will look amazing!
All Daring Digits creations are 3-free, cruelty free, and lovingly hand made. You can check out all of that DD has to offer by visiting DDPolish.com. Full size bottles are currently on sale for $6.00 each, and you can also pick up my favorite Cuticle Scrub and Cuticle Oil Balm while you're there! Don't forget to follow Daring Digits on FB for updates!
What do you think of Popped? Would you rock some rainbow glitter?
Be sure to check back tomorrow for some awesome Indie Candles and new Laquerlicious!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Kleancolor Winter Wonderland
Good Morning Loves! I am thrilled that the response for the ABC Challenge has been so high!! I'm looking at starting out on Wednesday, so let me know if that doesn't work for you all! I'm thrilled that so many of the Varnished Vixens are back, as well as some really awesome newer bloggers to me ladies! Also, I'm bad with inlinkz, so if you guys want to go that route, I'd love it if one of you with more experience with inlinkz would handle that part of it. Otherwise I can compile a master list of participants and their blogs andwe can cut and paste that like last time. :)
But let's talk polish and new and exciting ways to buy it, shall we?
Today I have a Kleancolor polish that I have been lemming for awhile now. Winter Wonderland is a mix of soft pink, blue yellow, red, purple, and orange glitters in a silver foil-like base. This is one of the polishes that I chose from MyWholesaleFashion.com (take a peek at Kleancolor Cobalt here). If you haven't checked them out yet, I suggest taking a peek! MyWholesaleFashion.com has a ton of Kleancolor, Santee, and Nabi polishes that can be purchased in bulk (awesome for gifts and giveaways!) for incredibly low prices (bonus!), as well as entire collections for practically pennies. MyWholesaleFashion.com also has some really awesome jewelry on their site. There are several pieces I have my eye on! Like this ring. I want that ring like crazy! Go check it out. I'll wait..
Back? Did you see the price on that really cool ring ?? I'm telling you...this site is crazy awesome!
Getting back to the polish (Sorry...got a little excited there!), let's take a look at Winter Wonderland!
All Photos are 3 coats of Winter Wonderland topped with SV:
This glitter is so pretty. I love the combination of the rainbow glitters with the silver foil base. I've had this on my wish list forever and was thrilled when it arrived!
Formula:
A little on the thick side, but still not half as thick as the Kleancolor polishes that I bought elsewhere. It did thicken a bit with use, but nothing a couple drops of thinner couldn't handle, and nothing I didn't expect since glitters in foily bases seem to thicken up halfway through my manis.
Application:
Very smooth and lovely for the first 2 coats, however it was still sheer and slightly patchy. When I added a third coat, the glitter began to clump at the sides and tips of my nails, making them look oddly shaped (to me anyway!) I highly recommend just using some silver undies and using 1-2 coats of Winter Wonderland instead of 3 on its own. That is exactly what I plan to do when I wear this girl again! Those were really the only issues that I encountered with this polish, and honestly those are worth it to wear this glitter.
You can check out all the gorgeous Kleancolor polishes ( one of my favorite brands for vibrant colors - and they make some really cool glitters as well) that MyWholesaleFashion.com has to offer by visiting their website. Don't forget to check out their selection of Nabi and Santee as well as all the cool accessories they have to offer. I don't know about you, but I love the idea of grabbing an entire Kleancolor collection for practically pennies, as well as being able to buy 6 bottles of a fave color for around the price of 1 bottle! Can you say multiple winner giveaways?
I have some really beautiful polish from Nabi and Santee that the folks at MyWholesaleFashion.com were nice enough to send me that I'll be sharing soon as well. I've had the chance to try all of them out on the swatch wheel and despite owning several polishes from those brands, the formula on the polishes from MyWholesaleFashion.com aren't as thick and gloppy. It may sound weird, but I would rather buy a few of one color to get that awesome formula than spend the same amount locally and have to constantly thin them. Can you guys tell that I really love this website and the idea behind it?
What's your take on glitters like Winter Wonderland? Are they worth a little work?
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
