Halloween Stamping With Bunny Nails Plates

Espero estén muy bien!, hoy les tengo dos placas para estampar de Bunny Nails!! Dulce fue muy amable en enviarme la placa HD-D y HD-C, Gracias Dulce!

Las 2 placas contienen imagenes con motivos de halloween y Día de muertos! a mi me han encantado no he sabido ni por donde empezar por que tienen muchisima variedad, en el final del post les muestro imagenes de las 2 placas:

Quise hacer varios diseños simples para mostrarles la variedad y versatilidad de las placas, funcionan muy bien son de excelente calidad, cada una tienen un valor de $ 16.99 dlls. Y en verdad lo valen

Contienen imagenes grandes y pequeñas para diferente tipo de uña, esta vez yo no tuve problema para estampar mis uñas que son un poco anchas ya que las imagenes para estampar en toda la uña son bastante grandes aprox. de 2x2.5 cm. :D 

En otro post les mostrare las imagenes de día de muertos!! con calaveras de azúcar y el típico ''papel picado'' que se utiliza en los altares de muertos aquí en México!

Try It Out Tuesday - Kleancolor Holo Chrome

Hello lovelies! Happy Try It Out Tuesday! Well, it would be happy, except.....dun dun dun....remember that silly nail on my right index finger that just does not want to live? Yeah, that's the one that had alot of sidewall filed away when I had stilettos...It also had a crack that I was patching awhile back, so it really had several issues. The crack was finally a non issue and it was growing out nicely, except the sidewall on one side was filed inward at the tip, and growing normally alongside the nail bed, creating a weird ledge of sorts. Last night that ledge gave way at the free edge and wham! Lost a good mm again. Thankfully that finally gets rid of all the fallout from over filing those sidewalls and I can let that nail even out with the rest. If it was any other nail, I'd be taking them all down to nubs again, but since it's my index nail and it's kinda tucked back in photos, I can work with it. Won't take long at all if I keep the other nails at this length and just let that one grow, grow, grow.

For today's TIOT polish, I chose Kleancolor Holo Chrome, a flipping gorgeous silvery blue holo glitter polish. I had planned on going in an entirely different direction, but as I was snuggling with my son, I realized that I was really in the mood for some holo glitter. I had a few choices, so I made my hubby pick. My indecision regarding polish is legendary - before I decided I want holo sparklies, I made poor Gini pick from the 4 polishes I had set out!

This is 3 coats of Holo Chrome topped with HK Girl Top Coat. Check the poor index nail - send it some happy vibes so it develops the will to live!!!

Man, oh man, is that pretty! Just what I was craving - gorgeous color with tons of glittery holo. This polish was a bday gift from my brother (from another mother) last year. I cannot believe it's taken me this long to wear it! The holo effect isn't in it's full glory here since these were taken in my light box (Storm is rolling it so no sunlight), but in sunlight this is all sorts of sparkly and holo! Here, have a slightly blurry macro so you can get an idea of the potential here.

Still pretty, and gives you a general idea of how much holo glitter is packed into this puppy. So pretty!

Holo Chrome's formula, however, was slightly problematic. And I hate saying that, but it's not like I can email Kleancolor and give them a chance to improve it before I post about it, right? This girl seemed okay during application - a little bit of dragging but nothing major- however it literally took all flipping night to dry. ALL NIGHT! ANd that's with a super quick dry topcoat and the thinnest coats possible. Speaking of thin coats, you kind of have to go as thin as possible with this one, otherwise it will develop some thick, gloppy spots - not alot of self levelling going on here. It's also a bit of a top coat eater. I only used one coat of HK Girl here, and once my nails (finally) dried, they were still fairly textured. I don't mind a bit of texture to these types of glitters, but if you like a smooth surface, you definitely want to double up on the top coat. I don't recommend glitter food with these holos since GF is thick and dries matte - it does dull down the holo a bit.

I'm pretty torn on this one. I LOVE the color and sparkle with this polish, but the dry time really turns me off. Had I applied this during the day I guarantee that I would've destroyed this manicure within minutes. I think these Kleancolor Holos will definitely be used when I can polish at night versus during the day.

blue ombre nails-31 Day Challenge

Día 6 del reto de 31 días, El tema de hoy es ''your favorite colour family'' y escogi el color azul.
La verdad es que este tema fue dificil para mi por que siento que no tengo ningun color favorito en particular, me gustan todos los colores, tonos y matices.

Elegí usar el color azul por que es uno de los colores que mas bellos se ven cuando vas a hacer un efecto  gradient u ombre y también puede ser que el clima me ayudo un poco a elegir los tonos jeje a estado nevando y lloviendo un poco últimamente.

Para hacer el cambio gradual de color utilicé:

• OPI-Ski teal we drop
• Sally Hansen Xtreme wear-Blue me away
• KleanColors-Pastle blue

Primer pinte mis unias con ''pastel blue'' y después con una esponja de maquillaje fui poniendo los otros colores. Y para ir de acuerdo con el día lluvioso pinte unas gotas de agua. 

Espero que les guste mi disenio para días lluviosos :D

Kleancolor Winter Wonderland

Good Morning Loves! I am thrilled that the response for the ABC Challenge has been so high!! I'm looking at starting out on Wednesday, so let me know if that doesn't work for you all! I'm thrilled that so many of the Varnished Vixens are back, as well as some really awesome newer bloggers   to me ladies! Also, I'm bad with inlinkz, so if you guys want to go that route, I'd love it if one of you with more experience with inlinkz would handle that part of it. Otherwise I can compile a master list of participants and their blogs andwe can cut and paste that like last time. :)

But let's talk polish and new and exciting ways to buy it, shall we?

Today I have a Kleancolor polish that I have been lemming for awhile now. Winter Wonderland is a mix of soft pink, blue yellow, red, purple, and orange glitters in a silver foil-like base. This is one of the polishes that I chose from MyWholesaleFashion.com (take a peek at Kleancolor Cobalt here). If you haven't checked them out yet, I suggest taking a peek! Getting back to the polish (Sorry...got a little excited there!), let's take a look at Winter Wonderland!

This glitter is so pretty. I love the combination of the rainbow glitters with the silver foil base. I've had this on my wish list forever and was thrilled when it arrived!

Formula:
A little on the thick side, but still not half as thick as the Kleancolor polishes that I bought elsewhere. It did thicken a bit with use, but nothing a couple drops of thinner couldn't handle, and nothing I didn't expect since glitters in foily bases seem to thicken up halfway through my manis.

Application:
Very smooth and lovely for the first 2 coats, however it was still sheer and slightly patchy. When I added a third coat, the glitter began to clump at the sides and tips of my nails, making them look oddly shaped (to me anyway!) I highly recommend just using some silver undies and using 1-2 coats of Winter Wonderland instead of 3 on its own. That is exactly what I plan to do when I wear this girl again! Those  were really the only issues that I encountered with this polish, and honestly those are worth it to wear this glitter.

I have some really beautiful polish from Nabi and Santee that the folks at  MyWholesaleFashion.com were nice enough to send me that I'll be sharing soon as well.  I've had the chance to try all of them out on the swatch wheel and despite owning several polishes from those brands, the formula on the polishes from MyWholesaleFashion.com aren't as thick and gloppy. It may sound weird, but I would rather buy a few of one color to get that awesome formula than spend the same amount locally and have to constantly thin them. Can you guys tell that I really love this website and the idea behind it?

Kleancolor Cobalt

Hello there lovelies! I'm posting a bit later than usual today. As Christmas approaches, things around here begin to become slightly chaotic and my posting schedule gets slightly erratic. I'll still be posting, but they may be later in the day than usual.

Today I have a beautiful brilliant blue to share with you! I was recently contacted by the folks at MyWholesaleFashion.com and asked to review a few of their products. I always research companies before agreeing to a review, and what I found at MyWholesaleFashion.com was really cool! Their website deals in wholesale pricing for not only nail polish but tons of fashion accessories as well! One of the very awesome things about their polish is that if there is a color that you use a ton of, you can buy that one color in bulk for cheap! You can also find some polish collections from Kleancolor, Santee, and Nabi for fabulous pricing as well. I highly recommend you check them out! I'll certainly be buying from them for some Giveaway prizes, gifts for friends and family as well as some jewelry for myself.

One of the polishes that I received is Kleancolor Cobalt. I love Kleancolor polishes for several reasons. Not only are they inexpensive, but their colors are always incredibly vibrant and usually one coaters. Their pastels are soft and beautiful, their holos sparkling, and they have so many awesome glitters. Usually when I buy Kleancolors, they come to be pretty goopy and need a good amount of thinner to be usable. Not these! When I received my package from MyWholesaleFashion.com the polishes were not only usable right from the bottle, but they were packed with the utmost care. Shipping was lighting quick (UPS!) as well. I highly recommend taking a peek at their site.

Let's take a peek at Cobalt, shall we? This girl is an ultra-pigmented Cobalt Blue Shimmer. This color is so bright that it's almost neon. In fact, it dries semi-satin so topcoat is a must shine. These swatches are 2 coats of Kleancolor Cobalt topped with Sally Hansen Mega Shine. None of these have been altered in any way - this is the true color of this polish!

Check out how vibrant this blue is! LOVE!!!! I'm a sucker for a cobalt blue, especially when they are this brilliant!

Formula:
As I mentioned before, I'm used to having to thin the heck out of my Kleancolor polishes. I was convinced that's just how they are. However, this bottle was usable immediately and I did not use a single drop of thinner. It did not thicken during use or glop around the neck of the bottle.

Application:
Smooth and buttery! This was by far my best experience with Kleancolor polish. This girl has no dragging, balding or glopping. Cobalt is also fully opaque in a single coat (I can't wait to use this for stamping!), although I used 2 because I'm a creature of habit. I just can't bring myself to use just one coat.

Compras nuevas de este mes-Esmaltes kleancolor, OPI y L.A. Colors.

post super rápido, queria mostrarles estas pocas cosas que he comprado este mes, no es mucho ya que no he viajado a u.s.a. que es donde me gusta comprar esmaltes y todo lo relacionado con nail art. Pero aqui les tengo 3 esmaltes y unas tiras para unias ya decoradas.

Vivo en una frontera y a 5 minutos esta un pueblito de Texas, ahi es donde compro de emergencia jaja para mi adicción a los esmaltes.

Por mucho tiempo estuve buscando los esmaltes de kleancolors ''chunky holos'' que venian en diversos colores y nunca pude encontrarlos hasta que la semana pasada sin buscar encontre uno!!! es el ''chunky holo  bluebell'', también hace ya tiempo queria un esmalte de glitter dorado que tuviera diferentes tamanios mas o menos como el de sephora by OPI no habia visto otra marca que hiciera uno igual mas que la de deborah lippmann, pero tambien descubri que la marca L.A. colors Color Craze tiene uno exactamente igual llamado ''dizzy''. Y por ultimo mi madrina me trajo el ''Red Shatter'' de OPI.

Las tiras para unias ya decoradas las encontre en una tiendita y como es una marca que no habia visto las compre para ver que tal funcionan.
Así que aunque es poco creo que me fue muy bien! por que encontre 2 esmaltes que necesitaba desde hace tiempo.

Starry Sky-Stamping Sunday

Hola!!

Uff ya es super tarde pero aqui estan mi disenio para el reto de ''sunday stamping'' del grupo adventures in stamping de Facebook.

El reto era estampar sobre una base azul y escogi hacer algo asi como un cielo estrellado, para la base utilicé   el esmalte ''Blue me away'' de Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear y arriba de ese usé ''Holo Blue'' de Kleancolors el cual es un color hermoso de base azul muy translucido con micro glitter holográfico.

Arriba de todo eso estampe con mi kit salon express unas estrellas y luna en color blanco. 

Muy simple pero apenas voy empezando en esto de estampar en unias jeje. Espero que les guste :D

Twenty Seven Polish : Fake ID

Hello Lacquered Lovelies! It's been a busy day here at KLK, hence the lack of a post during actual daylight hours. I've been working a bit harder at getting KLK's name out there, as well as getting to the next giveaway. Today I have another Twenty Seven Polish to share with you. I am so in love with Lisa's creations that I have some more on the way. I know at some point that I'll have them all, and I cannot wait to see what Lisa comes up with for us next! Today's beauty is Fake ID, an absolutely gorgeous mix of medium teal hex glitter and fuchsia microglitter in a clear base. This was the very first polish from Twenty Seven that I came across on Etsy, and it took me all of about 5 seconds to order it. I'm wearing it over Kleancolor Retro Green here (which I will post seperately), but I've tried it over almost every color possible and it's versatility is just as impressive as the polish itself. In fact, I love this so much that I was going to swatch tonight but couldn't bring myself to take this off!

I included these Macro shots that I took using my Easy Macro. I love that little thing! The first macro is Fake ID on the nail, the second is a bottle shot. *swoon*! <3!

Isn't Fake Id just stunning!?! I am very much in love with this glitter. This little gem is definitely going to be in heavy rotation on my nails.

Formula:
As most of you are aware, Indie glitters are much thicker than the usual glitters. However, I find that this makes placement much easier and increases the amount of glitter picked up by the brush. Despite its thickness, Fake ID gave me no problems whatsoever - no bubbling, clumping, thickening during use, etc.

Application:
This is by far one of the nicest glitters I have ever used. It applied evenly in one coat, and despite its thickness I never had to double dip. No fishing for glitter, hand placing, or piling at the tips. A little really goes a long way with this girl!

I cannot rave about Twenty Seven Polish enough. Lisa certainly has a fan for life here and I'll be anxiously awaiting the new beauties I have on the way. I have one more to show you before those arrive, and it is INCREDIBLE! Trust me, you won't want to miss this one!

NOTD: Kleancolor Blue Eyed Girl

Hello lovelies! Happy Thursday! So close to the weekend, yet still so far. On the upside, it's payday! Which means that I get to order more A England! Woohoo! I'll also be mailing packages, so if you have yet to receive one from me (a couple got lost under the seat of my husband's car), it should be there soon!

Speaking of packages, is anyone interested in doing a Secret Polish Santa this year? I think that would be great fun! Lemme know if you're interested and I'll set it all up. Also, 31 Dayers? The final challenge is looming. I wanted to know if you all wanted to re-create your fave mani that you have done during the challenge, or if you wanted to re-create a mani that another one of the partcipants has done. Please let me know! I'd like to have us all on the same page.

Lately I've been trying to get my butt in gear and start working through my untrieds. A good couple hundred are untrieds, or have been used only for dotting, striping, or nail art and I really want to give them some love. I fully believe that older polish deserves to be in the spotlight just as much as the new collections, so I'm planning on doing a 30 Days of Untrieds deal after the 31 Day challenge is over. If anyone wants to join in, let me know! There are no rules, just using untried polishes.

Today's untried polish is from Kleancolor, one of my fave less expensive brands. Kleancolor makes some really awesome glitters, and some gorgeous colors as well. I feel like I  never really see much from them outside of the Chunky Holos and Holo series, so I wanted to show off one of their lesser known, yet gorgeous beauties. Blue Eyes girl is a Cobalt Blue Jelly loaded with large Blue hex and small hex glitters.  The first time I saw this, I knew I had to have it! My awesome BFF (i also refer to him as my brother) managed to snag a bunch of Kleancolor polishes and Glitters for my birthday, and this was among them. Thanks J!!

I love this kind of polish - bright, sheer jelly combined with larger glittah! Yummy! However, this one was a bit problematic.

Formula:
Blue Eyed Girl was kind a PITA. It was so thick that I had to dump a serious amount of thinner into it, then grab a paper clip that I had straightened out to mix the polish. Yup, that thick. I don't think it was just this bottle that is like that either. I had a bottle of this before, but my husband dropped it and it broke. I had not had a chance to use it yet, but it had that same ultra-thick, unusable until thinned like crazy consistency. Once it was thinned out a bit, I dropped it into a bowl of ultra hot water, and after a few minutes it was fine.

Application:
This girl applied nicely - as long as I kept the thinner close. It thickens up very fast, which leads to clumping of the glitters. When it plays nice, it's wonderful...but when it glops up, it's a nightmare.  It was also quick to drag, and the glitters don't always lay flat on the nail. It's a serious top coat eater, so I added a thick coat of Gelous as well as a good coat of SV, and it's still a bit rough.

I love this color enough to really work at being able to use it. If you don't want to put the work into making this polish thin enough to actually use, I would steer clear. If you love this kind of polish, don't mind spending a whopping $3-4, and have thinner and time to spare? Well, its worth that much.

31 Day Challenge (v.2!) Day 8: Metallic Nails!

Morning Ladies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Today we are back with Day 8 of the Challenge: Metallic Nails! Yay!

At the last minute (because I'm indecisive)I decided to take a different approach to these than I normally would. I wanted to a stained glass kind of look, but I didn't want the metallic finish of the polishes to overshadow the design. Especially since I've been overloading on metallic duochromes lately. (Still have one to post) I decided to use my Kleancolor Metallics in Metallic Pink, Metallic Purple, and Metallic Jungle for my stamping since they tend to stamp semi-sheer but still retain a light metallic sheen. I used my go to blak, Finger Paints Black Expressionism for my base, and for my design, I took inspiration from a design I had seen the amazing Enamel Girl use last year. I grabbed my Red Angel Plates and chose plate RA 107's big flowery design for my image.

Strangely enough, this mani came out almost exactly like I wanted it to. I knew I wanted some metallic sparkle but I didn't want the mirror-like quality of the Essie Metallics. What I wasn't counting on was just how difficult it was to photograph! The subtlety of the stamping was a serious PITA to capture, and I literally had to have my hand almost inside the light to capture the colors. It still didn't manage to capture the metallic sheen, but hey. Can't win em all! (Yup, I'm strangely insecure about the less than glaringly obvious metallic here, but I still love it, so I guess that makes it a win, right?

I suggest making with the clicky to enlarge these. And, ya know, imagine some metallic sparkle. IRL these have alot of metallic flash, but aren't mirror-like.

Wait....is it cheating since they're not glaringly metallic? I'm not sure, but I do know that I love how this turned out and I'm going to cry when I have to take it off. I think this may be the only time that I've been happy that my stamping came out semi-sheer!
