Pure Awesomsauce: Zoya Veruschka

Hi guys! Hope you're all having a great Friday! I'm so excited for the weekend. It's been a hectic week, and I can't wait to be able to get some cleaning done, spend some quality time with my kids and hubby, and of course, wear more of my untrieds!

Today I have the most amazing polish to share with you. IMHO, this is the most perfect green ever! She's a stunning deep, almost but not quite Forest Green. She claims to be a "matte velvet", which may translate to Suede, since she has a ton of lovely shimmer. Either way, this is the most perfect Matte polish I have ever worked with, and I am so glad that she is now part of my collection. I have been lemming this polish for months, but it's not available anywhere out here, and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a Matte, since my previous experiences with Matte polish were nothing less than frustrating. No polish is as unforgiving as a Matte, especially a very dark Matte. I've found that using a regular polish and adding a matte topcoat is much easier. But not this girl! So let's take a look-see shall we?

Dear Readers, meet Zoya Veruschka! In fact, chances are that you've at least passed each other in the halls, or even sat at the same lunch table, but never really got to know each other :)

Look at that color! That shimmer! Isn't she just stunning?? I've just recently begun to dig green, and this is by far my favorite. The color is so deep and despite the matte finish the shimmer really shines. In sunlight this beauty is nothing short of spectacular. I didn't have my camera with me while the sun was out though :( Besides, I'm sure you've all seen some spectacular swatches of this polish that were taken in sunlight! She's not exactly new, and was/is very popular!

Veruschka's formula is highly impressive for a matte polish. Dry time was fast, but not so fast that I didn't have time to make sure I had even coverage. It didn't clump up on me once and wasn't thick and goopy. It flows onto the nail smoothly and dries evenly. No visible brushstrokes, etc. Just sheer perfection. This mani is 1 coat of Veruschka, one coat of SV, than a final coat of Veruschka. I sandwiched with SV in order to increase wear since Mattes are notorious for having terrible wear.  It worked well; after about 36 hours of wearing it, I had a little tip wear on my right hand, but nothing glaringly obvious. I'm so impressed and in love with this polish that I'm getting ready to order a backup bottle!

Hope you're all enjoying your Friday! I am simply exhausted! My 20 month old son is cutting 2 molars and is cranky and miserable, so I didn't get much sleep last night. Poor baby. Teething has got to be horrible!

What are your plans for the weekend? What are you going to be doing with your nails today?

Happy Polishing!
