Hi guys!
I am sick as hell again. I have these clients that seem to get sick every other week, and every time they get sick, either hubs or myself does as well. Looks like my turn this time. I am so stuffed up, congested, and last night my lungs just hurt from coughing and trying to breathe. It's miserable, and I am never going near that house without clorox wipes again! But I decided that I should post something, since I'm still feeling icky and most likely won't get a mani finished today. :(
This is Red Caviar by Savvy, a gorgeous deep wine with hidden microshimmer. I love this color! The formula was a bit streaky and had some drag/balding, so this baby needed 3 good coats and a good coat of SV to even it out. I feel that this color is worth it, though!
I'll hopefully be back tomorrow with more Spoiled manis. Keep your fingers crossed that I can shake this plague!!!
Red Caviar, in Lightbox:
Gorgeous, no? I don't wear Reds often at all, but when I do I always wonder why I tend to overlook them.
Obviously these were taken way before my week of broken nails - I actually wore this with a stamped accent nail just before Valentine's Day. Looking at them makes me sad since even after cutting my nails down, I still managed to break my index nail on my left hand, leaving me with a nubbin and forcing me to take my other nails even more. In all I probably lost a good 4mm (at least) and am left with something close, but not quite nubbins. I hate losing my length, but I have to admit that part of the fun is growing my nails out, and seeing how fast and far they grow over a certain time period. Usually I give them about 2 months to get to where I want them, and maybe 2-3 weeks to get to where I start to enjoy them again. Thankfully I love polish too much to wait until my nails get some length back to post! Anyway, watch for my poor little abused nubs tomorrow or Friday!
Hope you're all feeling excellent! I'm going to go nurse this plague.
Happy Polishing!

Tutorial: Deep blue sea
Hello everybody! :)
Today I'm using two of the M.A.C. eyeshadows that I got for my birthday; Deep truth and Electric eel. I've never really cared that much for blue eyeshadow but these two are adorable.
The left swatch is the eyeshadow on top of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk while the right one is the eyeshadow on top of bare skin. Not much of a difference but I thought I'd show you anyway. :)
Electric eel is a bright blue with a satin finish and a subtle shimmer.
Deep truth is one of my favorite eyeshadows of all time! It's so pretty and the picture does not give justice to the sparkling awesomeness going on in this midnight blue eyeshadow. And the best thing? It's totally suitable for goth makeup looks! :D
So here's the look we are going to create with these eyeshadows.
It really bothers me that Deep truth grey rather than blue and sparkly in these pictures. :(
Anyways, here comes the tutorial:
Step 1
Apply your base. Prime your eyes and apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk in the inner corner of your eye.
Step 2
Apply Deep truth in the outer corner of your eyes creating a cat eye shape.
Step 3
Blendy blend! But not too much.
Step 4
Pack on some Electric eel in the inner half of your lid, leaving a little pocket for highlighting in the innermost corner.
Step 5
Put some Electric eel above Deep truth. Blend out but, again, not too much!
Apply Gesso by M.A.C. as a highlight in the inner corner and under your eyebrow.
Step 6
Clean up the outer edge of the eyeshadow with a little bit of makeup remover on a Q-tip.
Step 7
Line your upper waterline and lash line with the gel liner Blacktrack (also by M.A.C.). Create a little "extension" of the inner corner of your eye. Also line your lower lash line, getting as close as possible to the lashes, and create a little flick on both the inner and outer corners.
Step 8
Liner your waterline with the Chromagraphic pencil Hi Def Cyan by M.A.C.
Step 9
Fill in your brows with Charcoal brown by M.A.C.
Apply mascara and a pair of huge eyelashes (Stargazer #16)! :)
The lips I kept natural, filling them in the same way as in the tutorial yesterday.
Have a nice day!

Excuse my small absence...
Hi all. Just a quick check in! I havent posted this weekend due to some irritating issues with my nails. It seems the universe doesnt want me to have my length back just yet, since I managed to chip the corners of almost every nail this weekend. While doing things I do daily. I can't tell you how annoyed and sad I am! This morning I busted a nail putting my son into his carseat, and that was it. I had to cut them all back. They're not entirely nubbins, but I lost a good 2mm or so.
I'll be back tomorrow with an actual mani. I had to remove the one I had just finished since I kept breaking nails. Broken nails on top of the unbelievable dryness my cuticles are experiencing just had me down for a few days. But what better way to cheer myself up than with a new mani, right?
Hope you all had a much better weekend than I did. Hubby comes home on Friday. Maybe then I can grow my length out again. Right now with 2 kiddos and handling everything myself, it's just not happening.
Happy Polishing (and my your corners never chip!)

Tutorial: Leopard print eyes
Hello everybody! :)
The rain is pouring down here and it's a dull monday. So a pop of color is exactly what we need! :) The key to the leopard eyes look is to make not too many dots but not too few either. If you make too many it's going to look a bit messy but if you make too few it will look quite poor. What's too many or too few might be a question of taste though!
So let's get the tutorial started!
Step 1
Apply your base and prime your eyes. Line your upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil. Put a little amount of NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk on your lid. Smudge it out with your finger but don't take it into the crease!
Step 2
With a flat shader brush apply Chickadee by MakeupGeek over the lid and a bit above the crease. Blend it out with a fluffy brush.
Step 3
With a smaller sized blending brush or pencil brush, apply Latte by MakeupGeek in the crease and blend it into Chickadee.
Step 4
In the outer corner (deep crease) apply Cocoa bear by MakeupGeek and blend it out well. Also apply a matte white in the inner corner and right under your brow. I've used Gesso by M.A.C.
Step 5
A little more dimension is needed so let's open up our gaze a bit with a dab of Glamorous (by MakeupGeek) in the center of the lid.
Step 6
Fill in your brows with Latte (MakeupGeek).
Grab your black gel eyeliner and line your upper lash line! Since we're going leopard here, we want the eye to get a more catlike shape. Create a little "extension" in the inner corner of the eye and an extra long wing in the outer corner.
Step 7
Pop on some mascara.
Now, it's time for the dots! To create these I'm using a liquid eyeliner. Draw for dots similar to those on the picture. It doesn't have to be and exact copy!
Step 8
For more dots!
Step 9
Five smaller, filled dots evenly distributed between the larger dots.
Step 10
Fill in the dots with Mocha by MakeupGeek. This really makes all the difference!
Step 11
Put on a pair of falsies and the eyes are done. I'm using Ardell #105.
I like to pair this eye makeup with a nude lip just to give the eyes some extra focus. To get an extra sheer layer of lipstick I applied it with my finger. I've used Clinique Creamy nude and a concealer in the center of the lips to add some more dimension.
I hope you liked this tutorial. Have a nice day! :)

arregla una unia rota! / fix a broken nail!
Hola!!!!!!!

Tutorial: Parfait Divine
Hello everybody!
Now, after my birthday and having got the Makeupgeek eyeshadows, I have got so many eyeshadows that I have to test! Well, I'm not complaining. ;) Many eyeshadows equals many new tutorial ideas!
The look of today can be wore as an everyday look or a night out look depending on your personal preferences.
The combination of a cold grey and a cold purple is flattering for all eye colors and a variation of the classic smokey eye for those who want a subtle pop of color. It might not be the most interesting look but it's definitely wearable! :)
Step 1
Apply your base and prime your eyes.
Step 2
Line your upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil. I'm using Smolder by M.A.C. Also run the pencil through your lower lash line. Smudge it out with your finger or a small brush.
Step 3
With a flat shader brush apply Knight divine by M.A.C. (or another shimmering dark grey) in the outer corner of your lid. Isn't that color gorgeous? :D
Step 4
Blend out Knight divine but be careful not to take it to high up against the brow.
Step 5
Take Knight divine beneath your lower lash line and blend it out. On the rest of the lid apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
Step 6
With another flat shader brush, pack on Parfait amour by M.A.C. on top of Milk. Also apply it in the inner part of your lower lid.
Step 7
Highlight the inner corner of the eye and the space just beneath your eyebrow with a matte (or shimmery) white. I'm using Gesso by M.A.C.
Step 8
With an angled brush trace your upper lash line with a black eyeshadow. Fill in your eyebrows. I've used Charcoal brown by M.A.C. but you can use whatever color suits your natural brow color.
Step 9
Pop on some mascara and a pair of false eyelashes! :) The lashes I've used are #747S by Red Cherry.
Step 10
Line your lips with a red lip liner. I'm using Revlon ColorStay Lipliner in Wine. Apply a red lipstick with a blue undertone. I've used Russian Red by M.A.C. (to complete the M.A.C. frenzy...).
For blush I used Shy by e.l.f.
Have a lovely day everyone and see you tomorrow with another tutorial! :)
