Zoya Ki and upcoming Spoiled Marathon

Hi Guys! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I'm still sick, but am feeling a touch better today, so I'm hopeful that tomorrow I'll be heading back to normal. This cold is a serious energy drain, and I have much to get done, so let's hope it goes the hell away!!

This week I am starting a series that I hadn't planned on doing, but since there aren't many swatches of many of the polishes I have from this collection, I am going to wear all of the 25 I have in succession. That's right, 25 polishes from Wet N Wild's Spoiled Collection! I'm pretty excited to share them with you guys, and I think you'll really dig them. A few are re-releases of LE polishes that were huge lemmings for many of us, and the new releases really are quite stunning. Yes, the brushes are a pain in the hiney, but once you get used to them it's easy to overlook. I'll be starting those Tuesday or Wednesday, so keep an eye out!

Today I have Zoya Ki, a classic duochrome that shifts from a lovely silvery, shimmery purple, to silver, to green. My camera had some trouble catching all the colors at once, so I focused on trying to grab as much color shift as possible in one shot. This polish is truly gorgeous, and one of my very fave polishes of all time. Essence Where Is The Party is a great dupe for this baby if you can't get your hands on Ki, and is a fraction of the price.

Here is Ki, center stage in the lightbox:

Isn't she just classic duochrome perfection? Formula was, of course, effortless. Very easy to get a thin, even coat, and despite being a litte streaky on the first coat, it evens out perfectly. This is 3 easy coats, since 2 isn't entirely opaque. She can get a little brush-strokey, but nothing some SV can't even out. Unfortunately for these swatches, I was out of SV and had to use my backup Out The Door (which is okay, but certainly isn't anywhere near as awesome as my beloved SV!), but I have since managed to drive halfway across town to grab a new bottle of SV. Wear on Ki was good, but not exceptional. I did have some tip wear on day 2, and a few chips before I removed it at around the 48 hour mark, but I expect that with more than 2 coats. I'm also harder on my hands than most people I know, so keep that in mind. I consider Ki a must have for anyone that loves duochromes, no matter how many versions of this color combination are out there.

Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
