Tutorial: Silver smoke

Hello everybody! :)

This is a classic party look and I didn't feel like doing anything crazy today so I thought I'd keep it simple. I'm using the M.A.C. "Platinum" pigment for this and since I'm using it dry I want to stress that it's important to apply a sticky base such as the NYX Jumbo pencil underneath.

So let's get the tutorial started! :)

Step 1
Prime your eyes. Apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" all over your lid and all the way up to the eyebrow. Blend it out with your finger to make it evenly distributed.

Step 2
Apply a black eyeshadow in the outer corner of your eye.

Step 3
Blend the black inwards to about half the lid, creating a nice gradient!

Step 4
Pack on the "Platinum" pigment by M.A.C. on the lid and in the inner corner.

Step 5
Line the upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil. Also apply some black eyeshadow along your upper and lower waterline. Smudge it out to create a soft line.

Step 6
Fill in your brows gently. I've used a M.A.C. #239 brush to get a more natural and not so drawn in result. The color I've used to fill my brows in with is "Sketch" by M.A.C., but I know this isn't a proper eyebrow color for everyone so you can just use a shade that suits you.

Two coats of black mascara and a pair of falsies and you're good to go! The lashes I've used are #747S from Red Cherry.

I re-dyed my hair last week and the color has already faded. :( This time I've bought a new hair dye by Manic Panic, which is supposed to last 30% longer. Hope it does, because re-dying my hair once a week will be pretty tedious work in the long run.

Does anyone with purple (or other extreme colored hair) have any advice on how to get the color to last longer?
