Hello again Lovelies! I managed to post twice in one day! Woohoo! Since I'm trying to catch up, I'm pretty stoked to manage to post more than once today.  Not to mention the polish I'm about to show you is seriously killer.

Live.Life.Polished is an awesome Indie Brand created by the ever-so-cool Tammy. You may remember her thermal polish, Blue Lagoon, that I posted last week. That is still one of my fave thermals ever! But today, I have my very favorite polish from Live.Life.Polished to share with you.

Top Secret is a purple color shifting top coat. It looks amazing over any color, but darker colors really bring this baby to life. The shimmery particles shift from purple to blue, and are so very sparkly. I'm still wearing this today since it's just so gorgeous that I don't want to take it off.

This is a single coat of Top Secret over NYC Chinatown (a deep eggplant purple):

Love!!!! Just gorgeous!! I love the colors in this topper, and that sparkle! Wow!! This is a polish that I will be reaching for often.

Top Secret's formula is excellent - perfect consistency, no thickening during use and no glopping. Application was stellar with no dragging, or balding. The shimmer in this girl disperses evenly on the nail and only one coat is needed for a gorgeous color shifting effect. Dry time is fast and Top Secret dries smooth and glassy.

This topper is truly phenomenal. If you're a fan of color shifting toppers, then you must have this! This is actually the second time I've worn this (again with the not being able to photograph it previously due to mom's health), and I love it just as much this time.

Daring Digits We Are The World & some info!

 Hello Lovelies! Happy Wednesday! It's actually an ABC Challenge day, but I am way behind on posts at the moment so that won't be up until tomorrow sometime. Work took over yesterday and this morning I have been having some issues with uploading photos to blogger. I've heard that several people are having the same issue and it seems to be a browser incompatibility. I switched to Chrome at it's working now. Albeit slowly. 

I am working on the new giveaway, but it won't be posted until late tonight. I have 3 posts that I'm currently working on, plus the giveaway, plus some time sensitive swatches for a friend. I don't foresee much sleep in my future!

Today I have another awesome glitter from Daring Digit's 80's Hits Collection to share with you all. We Are The World (named for the 80's Anthem of the same name) is a happy, funky lil mix of green hexes and squares, teal fine glitter and adorable yellow flowers. This is the first glitter that I have use that has flowers in the mix, and I really like it! This polish also brings back memories of all the We Are The World hype back in the 80's. That song was everywhere, and the video was one of my faves because all my fave artists were involved. Ahhhh memories!

This is 2 thin coats of We Are The World over NYC Tudor City Teal, a light teal jelly. I topped this off with a coat of HK Girl Top Coat as well. 

I have to say, this glitter is so cool! I really dig the flower glitters!

We Are The World was easy peasy to apply. The formula was excellent, with no fishing for the flower glitters. There are enough of those cute little flowers to make this pop, but not so many that they're overwhelming. WATW went on smoothly and dried quickly and smoothly. No need for anything other than my normal topcoat here! I was incredibly impressed with wear as well. I did not lose any of the flower glitters, and had no lifting with them as well. I'm always worried that I'll end up losing those larger glitters!

I am still loving this collection. My only issue is that I don't get to wear them long enough! I have 3 more to show you all, and they're some of my very faves.

Compras-Nail polish Haul

Hola!!
Espero que su fin de semana haya estado de maravilla, yo ando estresada como todo el tiempo jeje ya que pronto empezaré mi propio negocio de estilista aqui en mi casa pero de todas formas hay que hacer una buena inversión.

No hago muchos posts sobre mis compras pero les mostraré mis adquisisiones de estos dos primeros meses del anio, no es mucho puesto que solo compro lo que en realidad me gusta, no suelo comprar toda una colección si no me gustan mas que 2 esmaltes por ejemplo.

Estoy contenta pues puedo decir que en estas compras he adquirido muchas marcas que nunca habia comprado como Zoya, maybelline (esmaltes), urban decay, seche, etc...

Bueno pues las compras de las primeras foto son de mis vacaciones en Texas.

De Sally Beauty Supply:  Seche-Collage overlay,  China Glaze-modify me y Ion intense hydration leave in conditioner.

 De Ulta: Mi primer esmalte Zoya-Lara ,OPI- Avoplex moisture replenishing lotion y mi primer Urban Decay- supercurl  curling mascara (la adoro!!)

 De Regis Salon: Pagué por los tres 3,50 Dolares!!! en verdad!! fue una super oferta ya que tenian una canasta llena de opi's y si comprabas 1 te llevabas 2 gratis!! Pero como el que escogí tenia 60 % de descuento solo pague 3.50 y me dieron los otros 2 for free!! Adoro buscar en salones de belleza ya que tienen ofertas como estas muy a menudo y encuntro esmaltes que queria desde hace mucho tiempo como estos. OPI: I don't give a Rotterdam!, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, Lincoln Park after dark. También me regalaron la revista que aparece en la primer foto The Hair Book.

 De Tiendas y Framacias: John Frieda en tono Light Bronze Brown (es el que estoy usando ahorita), Color Show Maybelline Denim collection: Styled out, Sally Hansen- Nails & Cuticules Hand creme y NYC-Coconut (para french manicure).

Esto es lo que contiene el tinte y en verdad es muy bueno, cubre perfectamente y no escurre además de tener un aroma muy rico.

 Bueno y esta foto es del 14 de febrero cuando me llegó un paquete de Traci de un giveaway que gané, estos tres esmaltes son los primeros en mi colección de una marca indie Candy Lacquer-Crazy love, Love struck y Rubies & hearts. El esmalte de OPI lo compré yo en Alco y ya lo mostré en el post anterior es The impossible Liquid Sand de la colleción de Mariah Carey.

 Las 2 fotos de arriba son tintes y acrílicos que me trajo mi mamá de chihuahua para ver que tal esta la calidad en esas marcas y ver cuales usaré en mi estética.

Por último pero no menos importante esta mis compras de ayer, por fin compre uno de los esmaltes que mas queria!! jeje es de OPI: Every Month is Oktoberfest y como no comprarlo si es hermoso y aparte el nombre del esmalte me fascina! por que yo nací en Octubre, pronto les mostraré este esmalte antes de que finalicé el invierno. Y por culpa de que tengo una obsesión por lavarme las manos mil veces al día (soy una exagerada pero si me lavo las manos muchisimo) pues mis cuticulas estan muy resecas y feas y las fotos no se ven bien así que compre esta crema de Sally Hansen para ver que tal me sirve. 

Spoiled by Wet N Wild: Hit The Brakes

Hope you're all having a decent Monday! Today I have another Spoiled to share with you before I take a break from them and move on to some China Glaze and Julep Polishes for a bit (Hey, everyone has to mix it up a bit sometimes, right? I have 34 Spoiled polishes, I need some variety!).

I don't normally wear true reds, since my skin tone just hates them. I mean, really hates them - I look pink and blotchy and ashy when I wear them. Unfortunately, I love red, so occasionally I bite the bullet and hope noone notices. Thankfully real life doesn't involve macro shots, so I think I'm pulling it off.  It probably doesn't help that my hands are very chapped from dish-washing (I bought gloves today!) and are looking pretty pink anyway. I apologize in advance for how bad they look - I also invested in some awesome sloughing lotion and warming hand scrub to help out.

Today's polish is Spoiled by Wet N Wild's Hit The Brakes, a gorgeous true red jelly. It almost looks like it would be blue based, but in all honesty the way it plays with my skin tone says yellow base. Either way it's a stunning classic red, and I love love love it! Here she is on her own:

Ugh, see how horrid my skin looks? I'm babying it, but it's so very angry. Let that be a lesson to us all; wear gloves when doing dishes! Water is the enemy!

Anyway, isn't Hit The Brakes just a gorgeous, classy red? So very chic. I was also pleasantly surprised that it's a jelly. I was expecting another creme from this line, but a red jelly? I foresee an awesome Jelly Sandwich Mani in my future!

Formula on this baby was smooth as silk. I'm happy to report that I used a different brush (from an old base coat) and what a HUGE difference! The polish flowed onto the nail like silk, with no bubbling or balding. Dry time was very fast, and like most of my Spoiled polishes,  wear is pretty impressive. I wore this polish for almost 3 days with barely any tip wear. If you can tolerate using a different brush, do not hesitate to pick up a few from this line. They're certainly worth the $2.99 price tag.

As beautiful as this color is on its own, I just had to play with it. I added Essie Shine Of The Times with a little sponging, and then topped it all off with NYC Matte Me Crazy Mattifying Top Coat (review after the pics):

I love how fiery this mani is! Shine of The Times looks like little flames licking at the nail! LOVE!

I wasn't aware that NYC even made a Matte top coat when I stumbled upon it at Wal Mart the other day. With a $1.29 price tag, I figured it was certainly worth a shot! It goes on very smooth, and mattes up quickly, but seems to cloud up the color a bit. For the money, it's a great little matte top coat, but if you want your color to remain 100% as vibrant, I would stick with a higher end matte top coat. I usually use Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love or China Glaze Matte Magic. Matte-ly In Love is a bit thicker than Matte Magic, but still doesn't cloud the base color. Other than being a bit cloudy, Matte Me Crazy wears incredibly well - 2 days and no chips- and stays Matte. I was able to slather my nails and cuticles with oils and lotions and within a few minutes the matte effect was back in full effect.  I will definitely be using this little baby again and again. I like to play with Matte effects, and spending so little on a matte top coat means I won't feel guilty if I end up not liking it and using SV over it.

This week I am taking a break from Spoiled polishes so that I can wear my Hunger Games polish as well as my some of my other new polishes from Layla, Julep, and L'oreal. As much as I want to share all of my Spoiled stash with you guys, I need a little variety, and I'm sure you do too!
