Texture Day 20-31 Day challenge

Hola!!
Otro post!! siii quiero ponerme al corriente con los días del reto así que aqui esta el post del día 20, el tema es ''Texture'' así que fue la mejor oportunidad para usar de nuevo mi Black Shatter de OPI, ya se que a muchas personas no les gusta mucho y que ya paso de moda el crackelado pero a mi me gusta mucho como se ve.

Esta mani se la hice a mi hermana la cual desde hace tiempo queria que le pintara con un esmalte crackelado y de base le hice un gradient con rosa y azul. Espero que les guste :D

Christmas is near...Sat-ART-day Club

uff todavía es sábado aquí así que aún puedo postear la manicura que toca hoy en el ''Sat-ART-day Club'', el tema es ''anything Christmassy'' (algo navideño), que es más navideño que los colores rojo y verde!!

Esta vez me fui con algo simple por que como ya había dicho en el post anterior ando fuertemente engripada pero ni eso me aparta de lo que me gusta hacer que es pintar uñas y mi blog :D.

El reto de los sábados esta por terminar y volvera hasta febrero, creo que ya solo falta un disenio mas para que finalicé.

Para las unias de la foto usé el esmalte Pearl Jungle de Kleancolors como base y arriba mi nuevo Red Shatter de mis favoritos OPI. Ya se que el craquelado ya pasó de moda y a mucha gente no le gusta pero a mi todavía me agrada y es una de las formas mas simples de hacer arte en las unias, así que cualquiera puede traer una manicura trendy ;)

Lo único que no me gusto mucho fue que el red shatter no se ve tan rojo en la unia por que es una base verde, pero en una base blanca si se logra ver rojo completamente.

post super rápido, queria mostrarles estas pocas cosas que he comprado este mes, no es mucho ya que no he viajado a u.s.a. que es donde me gusta comprar esmaltes y todo lo relacionado con nail art. Pero aqui les tengo 3 esmaltes y unas tiras para unias ya decoradas.

Vivo en una frontera y a 5 minutos esta un pueblito de Texas, ahi es donde compro de emergencia jaja para mi adicción a los esmaltes.

Por mucho tiempo estuve buscando los esmaltes de kleancolors ''chunky holos'' que venian en diversos colores y nunca pude encontrarlos hasta que la semana pasada sin buscar encontre uno!!! es el ''chunky holo  bluebell'', también hace ya tiempo queria un esmalte de glitter dorado que tuviera diferentes tamanios mas o menos como el de sephora by OPI no habia visto otra marca que hiciera uno igual mas que la de deborah lippmann, pero tambien descubri que la marca L.A. colors Color Craze tiene uno exactamente igual llamado ''dizzy''. Y por ultimo mi madrina me trajo el ''Red Shatter'' de OPI.

Las tiras para unias ya decoradas las encontre en una tiendita y como es una marca que no habia visto las compre para ver que tal funcionan.
Así que aunque es poco creo que me fue muy bien! por que encontre 2 esmaltes que necesitaba desde hace tiempo.

Nicole By OPI Silver Texture- Craquelado plateado

Hola!!!
Ayer subi un post con mi manicura usando CHINA GLAZE ''turned up turquoise'', bueno pues decidi tratar otra vez de usar mi craquelado plateado de nicole by opi, y funciono!!!!!! por fin logre que craquelara bien.

Y es que este esmalte y yo no nos llevábamos bien, he intentado 3 veces usarlo pero nomas no funcionaba, solo se veian pequenias gritas pero no parecia un craquelado como el black shatter de OPI, no entendia por que hasta que lo use sobre una unia falsa y como estaba muy larga la pinte con pequenios brochasos y voila!!! ahora lo amo!! jeje y asi fue como logre el efecto de grietas en mis unias, con brochasos cortos.
No se si alguien mas ha tenido este problema con estos esmaltes que en la marca de NICOLE BY OPI  se llaman ''Texture Coat''

aqui les dejo una foto de mis bellas unias! Adoro como se ve sobre el color turquesa, todavia sigo usando esta manicura hasta ahorita :D es un record ya que tengo casi una semana usandola.

PURE ICE Vinyl RemiX-craquelados a otro nivel!

Estoy muy contenta de escribir este post pues hace un mes que me envio la compania de la marca Pure Ice 2 esmaltes de su nueva coleccion ''Vinyl Remix'' los cuales son craquelados pero no son simples craquelados sino que cuando los pasas sobre una capa de esmalte blanco revelan poco a poco un color entre las manchas negras!! que tan cool es eso!! Estos esmalte son ideales para muchas que todavia estan igual que yo que seguimos amando los craquelados  pero como ya paso de moda no los usamos.

En el paquete venian 4 esmaltes empacados por pareja: uno con platinum magic base coat (blanco) y el otro con ''emcee me'' y el otro combo traia tambien el esmalte blanco junto con ''Glam Rock'' y ademas cada combo traia una lima en forma de disco :D *Estos esmaltes fueron enviados de forma gratuita por la compania 


Honestamente a me han gustado mas de lo que imaginaba, todo mundo noto mis unias, estoy muy contenta con los resultados que dan y los disenios que se pueden crear con ellos!

ya se ya se que el crakelado esta pasado de moda pero que mas da jeje a mi me sigue gustando y de vez en cuando sigo comprando mas colores. Esta manicura la hice por que en la mano izquierda tenia el disenio de marilyn monroe y para seguir jugando con los colores blanco y negro decidi usar mi black shatter el cual fue el segundo esmalte de opi que compre ya hace tiempo :D

y simplemente pinte mis unias con esmalte blanco, pinte diferentes formas (media luna, french, un corazon) con el black shatter y listo!!!

Revlon Nail Art Break-Up in Ice Queen Swatch and Review (a little pic heavy!)

Hi guys! I hope you're all settling in for an awesome weekend and unwinding from the work week. I'm planning a fun filled weekend with my kids, and some serious swatching!

Before I get to today's mani, I want to take a moment to say thank you. I don't have many followers through GFC, but I thank each and every one of you that does follow me. It's nice to feel like my swatches and manis are appreciated, and I love being able to share new polishes and nail art with you! I also want to thank my anonymous readers. When I started this page I was getting maybe 10 page views a day on a good day. This week my page views keep soaring, increasing by over 100 views/day! It's not much, not like the thousands some of you get daily, but to have page views sitting above 300 is amazing to me. Thank you for reading my blog, checking out my swatches, and generally deeming me worthy of a few minutes  of your time.

Now, let's talk polish!!

Today I have Revlon's new Break Up Nail Art duo to show you. This is a brand new line of crackle duos, and Revlon's first foray into the land of crackle. I know, late to the party, but at least they showed up, right? I know alot of us are just over crackle, but I still enjoy it on occasion. I do think that's mostly because I've seldom worn crackle polishes, despite owning a slew of them. This little duo is called Ice Queen, and is a combination of a simply gorgeous Icy Blue foil and white crackle.  White is the one color of crackle that I did not own, and wouldn't normally pick for myself. In fact, I would've skipped over this duo entirely had my 21 month old son not intervened! He loves to hold polish bottles while we shop, and he really wanted to hold one of these. I grabbed the one he was pointing at, and he held it happily while we shopped for other polish. Normally Dex will get bored since he can't open them (I crank the cap down as tight as possible), and either sets them on a shelf or throws them. When I went to pay, I didn't see the polish, so I figured he had set it down. Not so much! He had set it in his stroller, under his butt! I found it when I went to lift him into his car seat. Little Klepto!  Since he obviously wanted mama to have this polish, I went back inside and paid for it. I figured it would just sit in my untrieds and gather dust, but I asked G over at Nouveau Cheap if there were any swatches of these and found out that she had not seen any. I decided that I would swatch it now so you guys can see at least one color.  So let's get to it! Here is Ice Queen!

I love this color! I love foils in general, but I have a serious weakness for icy blues. Well, blue in general actually, but that's a whole 'nother post!

Here she is with the crackle:

Despite not being a huge crackle enthusiast, I really like this duo! It's a very fun look, and the color contrast really makes it look like a little icy wonderland on my nails.

Formula was less than stellar; Ice was a bit on the thick side, although it didn't glop up. I had a hard time getting thin coats, and despite using 2 coats, still had some minor balding and drag. I recommend keeping a few drops of thinner handy for Ice. Queen was very thick and gloppy for a crackle, and dries VERY quickly. I had to work lightning fast to cover the entire nail before it started to dry and glop even worse. It does crackle quickly and has a nice mix of smaller, spidery-like cracks and big chunky cracks. It dries to a very textured Matte finish, but I like my crackles to be shiny, shiny, shiny, so I used a good coat of SV to seal the deal. I love the overall effect, but the formula could be better. Also, check your brushes carefully! I didn't check mine before leaving the store, and the brush on the crackle side is wonky! Half the bristles are bulging out of a crack in the stem, which makes them wad up when I scrape the excess off my brush.

Overall, not bad for a first try, Revlon. The color combos aren't anything amazing, and I actually prefer the Pure Ice crackles over this one. I paid $7.99 on sale at Walgreens, but regular retail is around $10.00. Despite being very pretty, I think that's a steep price tag for the quality of the polish.  Hopefully I just got a bad bottle, since Revlon's formula is usually much better.

Pure Ice Crackle & Ice Duo: Strike A Pose

Hi guys! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Today I have one of the Pure Ice Crackle duos to share with you. I know, I know..most everyone is so over Crackle. And for the most part, I am as well. But...I never really used it much so on occasion when I want something quick, easy, and still eye catching, I'll pull out a crackle. The Pure Ice Duos are actually pretty interesting. I'm drawn to crackles with eye catching color, and these little duos have just that.

This particular duo is a Silver Glitter polish (It's actually Pure Ice Beware) matched with a striking shimmery bright blue crackle. I like the look of glitter under crackle, so this was naturally the first of the 3 duos I have that I tried out.  Here, have a look!

Oops! I managed to whack my ring finger against the table right as I finished this mani! Good thing about crackle is that that little ding was only noticeable in pictures. :)

I love the color combination of this silver glitter with the bright blue crackle. This is one of the few crackles that I have worn that didn't glop up on me.  The crackle dried very quickly though, so you do have to work fast. I used a thicker coat on this swatch since I like larger cracks and really wanted to show off the color of this crackle. I tried a thin coat on my thumb, and it led to smaller, spidery cracks. Still looked great, but the color wasn't as vivid. I actually liked the Pure Ice crackle much better than the Sally Hansens, which glop up quickly and tend to be very thick. And for the price ( I think these were around $2.99 at Wal Mart), these little duos are certainly worth a wear.  I picked up the Gold/Red combo and the White/Purple combo as well. After wearing this one, I'm actually looking forward to trying out the other 2.

Las compras de ayer y mis planes!!

son las 2:21 a.m. otra vez desvelandome, jure que iba a tratar de dormirme temprano pero qui estoy, mis post de hoy es simplemente para mosrtrarles mis ultimas adquisiciones y compartirles un poco mis planes.

Ayer compre un mini kit  de acrilico de la marca kovy, ya que quiero comparar su calidad y resistencia con la de organic nails,  compre un esmalte craquelado de nails academy, y un paquetito de tips cristalinos, tengo planeado entrar a un concurso de la revista profesionales de las unias, a ver como me va!, Estoy tambien en el concurso de opi inspirado en nicki minaj pero como todavia no empiezan las votaciones no pongo imagines jaja, tambien compre un set de manicure con 13 esmaltes y accesorios para el cuidado de las unias,

Ya se que el esmalte de craquelado esta pasando de moda pero este me gusto y quiero intentar esta marca, tambien tengo muchos planes para este blog, mostrar un poco mas de lo que viene en tonos para esta prox. temporada primavera-verano, aqui las fotos + una pintura que hice....
