Hello again lovelies! I'm back, as promised, with a brand new Indie Brand for ya!
Fandom Cosmetics is a new Indie Brand that specializes in fan based nail polish. They have collections ranging from Once Upon A Time, Harry Potter, Star Trek, The Avengers, and Doctor Who. Recently I reached out to Fandom Cosmetics to create my dream collection, A Daft Punk inspired collection. I provided pictures of live performances and promo shots and Fandom took those images and poured them into a bottle. I can't wait to share those with you all!
Not only does Fandom make some killer custom creations, but their core collections are stellar. I came across this brand on Instagram and immediately fell in love with their themed collections. I can't wait to share them all with you, but for today I have one of my very favorites to show you.
Rumbelle is from Fandom's Storybook Shipper's Collection and is a mix of gold holo dust, Holographic Gold flecks, Marine holo glitters, and White Circle glitters in a white base. I've seen a few Rumbelle polishes out there, but this is by far the most stunning of them all.
This is 3 thin coats of Rumbelle topped with NPB Glitter Food and top coat. These are of the Click to Enlarge variety - you can see the holo much better with larger images. :)
Check out all that gorgeous golden holo shimmer! This girl is just incredible. These pics were taken in my light box, so you can imagine the sparkle and rainbows when this polish is in sunlight. It's dangerous! LOVE!!
Rumbelle's formula is lovely and creamy with no thickening up or clumping glitters. Application was fabulous as well, which always surprises me with these types of glitter polishes. No dragging, balding, or giant clumps of glitter on the nail, and none of that pesky glitter scraping off the base color either. Dry time was fairly quick, and wear is exceptional with absolutely no signs of wear at 24 hours. Since Rumbelle is packed with glitter and boasts a thinner base, she does dry textured. I added a coat of Glitter food to smooth things out before top coating. You will, however, be able to see some of the texture from the holo glitters if you look very closely, but outside of macro mode that's not an issue at all. Unless you're examining your nails under a microscope, you won't notice it.
I am just blown away by this stunner. I think this is truly one of the most beautiful polishes around, and if you're a fan of holos and shimmers, you must have this! I know I'm going to need several backup bottles - I'll be wearing this beauty a ton.
You can check out Fandom Cosmetics by visting FandomCosmetics.com. Full size polishes run $8.50, full collection $30.50. There are literally a good 20+ fan based collections listed on their site, plus an option to mix and match polishes from different collections. I know alot of us polish fanatics fangirl/fanboy over something, and you'll be sure to find it at Fandom. I happen to know of a few new collections coming our way as well, and they are going to be EPIC! You'll definitely want to follow Fandom Cosmetics on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with new releases, sales, etc.
I cannot wait to show you more from Fandom Cosmetics, including the brand new Daft Punk Collection (I'll have that up sometime in the next week or so), and some awesome superhero inspired glitterbombs!
What do you think of Rumbelle? Is there a fan-based Collection you'd love to see?
I'll be back tomorrow with Try It Out Tuesday with Gini from Sassy Paints, so come back and visit!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Spoiled by Wet N Wild: Are Mermaids Real?
Hi Guys! Happy Weekend!
Today I have Spoiled by Wet N Wild's Are Mermaids Real to share with you. I love this color! It's a lovely medium purple with tons of gold flecks. Think Zoya Charla if she was purple! I wasn't convinced I would love this color when I saw it in the bottle, but trust me, it is much more amazing on the nail than it is in the bottle. The gold just doesn't shine through as much until it hits the nail. This is 2 coats of Are Mermaids Real? topped with one coat of SV.
Tell me this isn't a stunner! I'm so in love with the combination of this purple and that golden shimmer. Wow! Spoiled has some real beauties in their collection, and this is no exception.
Formula wasn't too bad, but did glop up quickly. Nothing a few drops of thinner can't handle, though. For this mani I used 2 easy peasy coats, and a coat of SV (of course!). Despite being gloppy, I had no issues with balding, drag, or bubbling. Wear on this beauty is wonderful so far. Ive done a ton of dishes, bathed my son, put together countless toys, and generally beat the hell out of my hands today (my cuticles are desperate for some TLC!) and not one hint of wear so far! Of course, this has that wonky brush, but I'm finding as long as expect to have to cover my entire nail with one stroke of that nutty brush, it's not as hard to handle. It does hold onto a ton of polish though, so if I don't cover my entire nail with that first stroke, it will flood. I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, they'll re-think this brush. It's really the only major flaw with these polishes so far.
Hope you all are having a relaxing friday night! I'll be back this weekend with the next installment of my Spoiled series.
Happy Polishing!
