Pure Nail Oil Results - 14 Day update!

Nothing to Disclose

*Product(s) Featured purchased by KLK. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello lovelies! Happy Tuesday! It's been a crazy 24 hours for me, my mom is still in the hospital and it looks like she has a Pulmonary Embolism and another clot in her leg. Pulmonary Embolism is a blood clot in the main artery in the lung, and can be very dangerous. She is being treated with blood thinners now, but they may have to insert  a filter into her bloodstream to prevent future occurrences  Thank you all so much for all of your support and patience during this time. I always hate to be away from the blog, but my mother is one of the most important people in my world and always comes first.

Today's post is a cross-post of sorts. Yesterday marked 14 days of using my very favorite product in the entire universe, Pure Nail Oil™.  I posted my initial reveal last Monday, and although the results were incredible, my nails and cuticles look twice as good today. I have to tell you, the fact that I am STILL seeing progress astounds me. Pure™ really works. It's as simple as that.

I had planned on posting a long, picture filled post here, but Ana posted my results on NailCareHQ.Com today, so instead I'm going to send you on over there to take a peak. Her post is fantastic, incorporating my daily emails throughout the past 2 weeks, as well as before and after shots, all side by side so you can really see the difference. There is no way I could've done it better!

So, head on over and take a look at my progress from Day 1, with dry, cracked, bleeding cuticles that were nipped into oblivion and dry, curling, sad nails, all the way to this morning! You don't want to miss it, it's truly impressive. And all thanks to Pure Nail Oil™!

GO HERE! http://www.nailcarehq.com/KimbersResults

If you are interested in grabbing some Pure Nail Oil™ for yourself, you can do so at : http://www.nailcarehq.com/kimberskorner . The starter kit contains a 2ml pen and 15ml bottle of Pure™, and will last up to 3 months, depending on use. I recommend grabbing this kit to start, since you will use most of, if not the entire pen during the first 3 days. I recently grabbed the refill kit as well, since I never want to run out of Pure™!

To celebrate my 2 year blogaversary, I will be giving away 2 Pure Nail Oil™ starter kits! I'll keep you posted on when that giveaway goes live, since I'm still running the BG Cosmetics Holographics Giveaway now. (If you have yet to enter, do it here! ) I believe in Pure™ so much that I want to give those away to 2 of you lucky lovelies so that you can experience the magic of Pure™ for yourself. I guarantee that you will NEVER use anything else.

I'll be back later on with a review of Simply Smooth base coat and SImply Quick top coat, as well as some swatches!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Cuticles!! ;)

Candied Lustre - Get Figgy With It! Color Changing Polish

 Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello Lovelies! Wow, I am so late with posts this week. It's been a rough week, and I hope you all understand that not only am I just incredibly busy, but I'm having to take some time to process.

My mother's final test results came in today. She is officially Stage 4 Lung Cancer (adenocarcinoma), and it is NOT curable. It can be treated in an attempt to slow the progression, but she will never be cancer free. Keep in mind that we just lost my husband's father to the exact same thing in March. He was diagnosed in September as we were told the same thing - Not curable but treatable. Obviously I am terrified that she won't have as long as we're hoping for. The cancer is terribly aggressive, going from possible remission from stage 2, to full blown incurable Stage 4 in 4 weeks time. It's taking it's toll on my whole family.

I know in my heart of hearts that you all understand. I tend to take this blog seriously since it's my one love outside of my family. I love blogging, and I love hearing from all of you. Next week will be better, I promise. I have a literal TON of polish to share.

The new giveaway will be up and running over the weekend. I just can't manage to get it to it right now. It's hard to keep up with my head  and heart in such turmoil. I'm also skipping Flakie Friday this week, but it will be back next week.

But hey, let's not wallow. Let's check out some polish!

Candied Lustre is a new to me brand that I came across on Instagram a few weeks ago. I was incredibly impressed with their thermal polishes, and was lucky enough to be able to swatch them for you! Today I have the first polish in the 3 polish colection.

Get Figgy With It is a beautiful bright pink (warm) to a fig colored purple/pink (cold) with scattered holographic particles. It is a black based thermal, which makes the color shift very intense and dramatic, and the colors very rich.

This is Get Figgy With It in its warm state, which is what it looked like on me most of the time. I tend to run very warm though, so your results may be different.

3 thin coats, topped with HK Girl Top Coat:

Okay, so pinks make me a bit lobstery (and I'm a bit splotchy here from having my hands in Cold water for the color change shots) - But I still adore them! This is such a beautiful deep pink, and the touch of holo makes this baby shine.

Next up, is Get Figgy With It in it's cold state. I will not lie, this was hard to capture given that my lighting set up is incredibly hot. As in burn your hands kind of hot. I had to dip my hand (bottle included) into a bowl of Ice water, submerge it for a good 1-2 minutes, then shove my hand into the light box, shoot fast, and hope I was in focus! Sounds tedious but I actually had some fun with it. I love to photograph challenging polishes, and thermals can be hard to capture.  But I digress! Let's see Get Figgy With It after the color change!

Can I just mention how much I love the color change on this girl? Look at that! Such a gorgeous color to being with, but the fig color when cold is so amazing. I spent alot of time intentionally touching cold things while I had this on.

Get Figgy With It (and you KNOW you're having a Will SMith moment now!) was wonderful to work with. The formula was nice and smooth, with no thickening, gooping or glopping. Application was a breeze and I had no problems with dragging or balding. Get Figgy With It does start out a touch sheer, but builds nicely. I'm wearing 3 coats since I tend to apply very thin coats, but 2 slightly heavier coats would've sufficed. This polish dries to a satin finish, so if you want shine, you'll want to use topcoat. I really loved this without topcoat, and will definitely wear it that way next time.

I love thermal polish and I am highly impressed with Candied Lustre. You can find their shop at Candied Lustre on Etsy. Full size polishes range from $7.25 - $8.00, depending on finish. Be sure to check out all of their gorgeous polish while you're there! You can also follow Candied Lustre on Facebook for swatches, re-stock info, and new releases.

What do you think of Get Figgy With It? Are you a fan of thermal polish?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Saturday Stamping w/ Dashica Beauty Big SDP-A!

Hello lovelies!! I have great news! You may remember this post, where I shared my results with Daring Digits incredible cuticle scrub. It's now available for purchase on DDPolish.com in 4 scents: Peppermint, Vanilla, Citrus, and Unscented. The scrub runs $5.25 for 2oz, which is a steal considering how well it works. Also available is Ashley's incredible Cuticle Oil Balm, which I'll be showing you within the next day or so. I suggest picking up a few of both - they have totally saved my skin!

Today I have some stamping to share with you. I really miss stamping sometimes, and I'm trying to make a point to break out my stamping supplies more often. A couple of weeks ago I ordered one of the big plates from Dashica Beauty along with the XL Stamper, and they arrived yesterday. Once I had the plate in my hot little hands there was no way I could resist doing some stamping.

I chose Nina Ulta Pro Li-Lacing Discipline, a soft lilac purple, as my base color. I used one of the swirly images from Dashica Beauty's Big SDP-A Plate and stamped with Konad White. The images picked up perfeclty and the XL Stamper is just amazing. The only issue I encountered was that the XL Stamper head tends to either sink down into the stamper, or, if you choose to use the cardboard disc to keep the head where it should be, it falls out. This made for some uneven transfer and I wasn't able to line up the image correctly. After I was finished, I glued the stamper head into the handle with gorilla glue, cause there is no way I'm messing with that thing every time I want to stamp. ;)

I love this image. I've seen this on a few blogs before and knew that I had to have it. There are actually 2 versions of this image on the Big SDP-A Plate, this one and a smaller version. I'm sure you'll be seeing them both several times since it's my fave image.

I love how this turned out. I don't stamp with white often, but I love the contrast of the white against the purple. It's definitely one of those manicures you can't miss! I do wish my stamping were cleaner and that I had been able to line up the stamper correctly, but now that I've gorilla glued the stamper head, that shouldn't be an issue. Gorrilla Glue - can you tell I wasn't messing around here? ;)

I'm already browsing the Dashica Website for more of these image plates. The images are engraved perfectly and transfer with little to no flaws every single time. They are large enough to cover longer and wider nails and they have the reverse images so that your left and right hands match instead of one hand being kinda backwards.

What do you think of this mani? Do you have any Dashica Beauty plates?

I'll be back with BGCosmetics and Daring Digits tomorrow, as well as Laquerlicious and White Owl Lacquers to start the week!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

More ABC Challenge info!

Hiya Ladies! I have even more info to post. I've been waiting to post until I had everything together, and I think it's all ready now.

1. Ria was awesome enough to creat a FB group for us. You can find the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/318728534911715/ . Just click to join and Ria will approve you!

2. I posted updates to the Master List this morning. Sorry it took a bit, but I was waiting on a few email responses from people to make sure they were actually in the challenge. Please note that some people will not be able to post EVERY challenge day, and a few people missed the post with our start date. As of now they are still participating and have not been removed from the group. I do ask that if you decide to drop the challenge, let me know via email or comment.

3. We are going to be trying Inlinkz for the "b"challenge coming up on Wednesday. The code is already up via our FB Group, but can also be sent via email. If you prefer email, let me know and I will email the code to you before Wednesday. I know some of you aren't familiar with Inlinkz, but let's give it a shot. The only thing is that we all have to manually enter the URL to our posts via the widget, and you can do that on any post that has the widget and it will show on everyone's posts. If for some reason this doesn't work out, then we still  have the hyperlinks to fall back on. A Big Thank you to Lariesa for creating the inlinkz code, since every time I try to create one my Macbook freaks out.

4. The Wednesday posting date stands, however just like with the 31 Day Challenge no-one gets lynched if they post late or need to skip a week. This is supposed to be fun, low stress and no-pressure.

Thanks to everyone and their feedback and everyone participating. Now let's get past the damned details and have fun!

Best Laid Plans, and upcoming Pink Polish-Fest!

Hi guys! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend! This is another one of my patented "I'm not dead, I'm just slacking" posts. :)

I had planned on posting a St. Patrick's Day Mani this weekend, but yesterday ended up being disastrous, not only on the nail polish front, but at home as well. My 10 year old was having a bad attitude day, and I ended up getting rather sick from eating a Pot Pie. Lovely, right? On top of that, I finally busted out my Milani 3D Holographic polish in Hi-Tech (the green one), and managed to smudge the ever-loving hell out of my mani as soon as I finished. I plan on touching it up a bit and trying to get some pics for you guys, since it really is a lovely little holo polish, but I make no promises, since I have a time consuming mani planned for tonight.  I will be posting one of my CG Magnetix this evening though, and that's kind of green, so it counts, right? Hehehe, I cheat.

This week I am planning on doing a kind of theme week; Pink Polish! I adore pink polish, but I rarely wear it anymore. I used to look forward to Pink Wednesdays in order to force myself to wear pink, but I have so many untrieds that I put that aside in favor of trying to make it through some of those. Yesterday I was going through my stash in preparation for a big reorganization, and realized I have so many gorgeous pinks that I haven't touched. So this week I am challenging myself to wear my pink polishes and create some cool manis. Feel free to join me if you love pink polish and don't wear it often! I'm very excited to bust out those pinks and do some nail art and layering!

Hopefully by the end of the month I will have Fantasy Fire to share as well! I'm a firm believer that you can't see enough of that polish! Laura and I both sent out our packages to each other a few days ago, so hopefully we will both have them within a week or so. I'm always nervous about shipping to the UK, since my mom sends packages to family over in Ipswich several times a year and constantly has issues. However, my mom is notorious for doing things the hard way, so it may be user error. ;) I can't wait for her to have her bottle of Twisted as well as Zoya flakies!

Happy Polishing (grab those pinks, ladies!)
