BG Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection: Candy Coated Innocence

Hell again lovelies! It's Sunday night, which means Monday morning is dreadfully close. Pretty polish always perks me up, so let's take a peek at one!

This evening I have the 3rd and final polish from the Bitch Glitz Valentine's Day Collection to share with you all. Candy Coated Innocence is an opaque creamy white jam packed with soft pink hearts and pink and purple holographic glitter and shredded purple flitter. This is my fave from this collection (you can check out Chocolate Treasure here, and Strawberry Sunrise here) but I'm always kind of partial to pearly white polish. One of the very first shades that I wore when I started getting back into nail polish was a pearl white, and I wore it to death!

This is 2 coats of Candy Coated Innocence topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat (bonus points to whoever finds the piece of cat fur that Charlie snuck into one of these photos!):

Isn't CCI beautiful? I am head over heels for this polish. I'm actually wearing this as a full mani at the moment.

Formula:
BG's formula is on the thick side, yet it's the kind of thick that is easy to use and really holds the glitter. Always usable straight from the bottle, I have yet to experience any thickening during use, glopping, or gooping.

Application:
CCI was a dream to apply! I had no issues with dragging, balding, or fishing for the larger heart glitters and was even able to wrap my tips with this. Since it has a pearl finish, you will have a few brushstrokes, but nothing that's visible outside of macro mode. This polish is also easily opaque in a single coat, although I'm wearing 2 for intensity. Since this does have the large heart glitters, I used a coat of Gelous to protect them in addition to my regular top coat.

I am so very in love with Bitch Glitz polishes. Ketlyn (the mastermind behind BG Cosmetics) has created a very unique and high quality line. Her polishes are not only impressive as far as formula and application, but the wear is amazing as well. I've yet to have a BG manicure chip or show anything besides some minor tip wear (and I even had to do some impromptu plumbing today!).

All Bitch Glitz Polishes are 3-Free and made with the highest quality ingredients, including a pinch of Diamond Dust! You can find BG Cosmetics on Etsy (make with the clicky!) and Full size bottles retail for $10, entire collections for $35,and the Valentine's Day Trio for $26. You can also grab a bottle of the Limited Edition"Kimber's Korner", a rockin' Cobalt Blue with various Blue/bar/holo glitters (I'll have swatches coming up this week)! Don't forget to use the code below to save 15% on your entire order.

What do you think of Candy Coated Innocence? Are you a fan of white polish?

I'll be back tomorrow with new Twenty Seven Polish and be sure to stay tuned this week for new Polish TBH and more from BG Cosmetics!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Bitch Glitz Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection: Strawberry Sunrise

Good morning lovelies! Happy Caturday! Charlie is hiding at the moment since the baby has been chasing her relentlessly this morning. She's so awesome with him - she will let him pet her, hug her, lay his head against her belly...and all the while she grooms him and purrs. I've always found that amusing since when we first saw her at Animal Humane we were told that she was not good with children and dogs. We had Dex with us that day and Charlie immediately gave him kitty head butts and kisses. She also bonded with Marleigh, my 120lb Labrador/Great Dane, and now that gigantic dog is her best friend. She's a pretty awesome cat.

Today I have the 2nd of 3 Valentine's Day Polishes from my girl Ketlyn at Bitch Glitz Cosmetics. Strawberry Sunrise is opaque fiery fuschia, filled with metallic silver, holographic white, purple, and pink glitter that sparkles in the sunlight. This girl was difficult to capture at 2 am in artificial lighting! My camera tends to really freak out with pinks and purples - add glitter to the mix and I'm surprised it hasn't exploded. T minus 14 days or so until I get my DSLR! I dunno about you guys, but I'm looking forward to crystal clear pictures!

But back to the polish! This is 2 coats of Strawberry Sunrise topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat:

I really wish my pictures showed how vibrant this color is. IRL the fuchsia base is a bit more vibrant and the glitter really sparkles.

Formula:
As with all BG polishes, Strawberry Sunrise has a lovely, thick but usable straight from the bottle formula. No thickening, gooping or glopping.

Application:
Smooth and silky, Strawberry Sunrise applied easily, stayed right where I put it and did not show any dragging, balding, or clumping of the glitters. This polish is pretty opaque, however you will need 2 coats for full opacity. Strawberry Sunrise dries slightly textured, but not as textured as chunkier glitters. I used a coat of Gelous before my usual top coat to make sure my nails were smooth.

I am consistently impressed with Bitch Glitz Cosmetics. Ketlyn has managed to find that delicate balance that makes a formula stand out, and her colors and glitter mixes are always stunning. Another thing that really stands out with BG polishes is longevity. These polishes dry hard and I have yet to experience a chip or anything beyond some very minor tip wear from constant typing. I always use a peel off base coat with glitters, and we all know how hard it is to get more than 24 hours wear when using peel off base coat, but with BG polishes I actually have to work to find a corner to lift up to peel off the polish!

All Bitch Glitz creations are 3-free and made with the highest quality ingredients, including a pinch of Diamond Dust. Full size bottles retail for $10, full collections for $35. Ketlyn is also amazing with custom creations, so if you have a dream polish in mind shoot her a note! She has created 3 custom polishes for me (You'll see those this coming week), including the Limited Edition 'Kimber's Korner", a beautiful Cobalt Blue with a variety of blue, bar, and holo glitters.  You can find Bitch Glitz Cosmetics on Etsy (clicky!) and you can also save 15% off your entire order by using the code below!

What do you think of Strawberry Sunrise? Are you planning on wearing a Valentine's Day mani?

Stay tuned for more Indie goodness this afternoon!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Bitch Glitz Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection - Chocolate Treasure

Good Morning Loves! Happy Thursday! We're so close to the weekend I can almost feel it! It's gonna be a post heavy day today so I apologize in advance for spamming you all. I have some really awesome polishes to share, so be sure to check back!

This morning I have one of the most recent creations from my girl Ketlyn at Bitch Glitz Cosmetics. It's no secret that Bitch Glitz has fast become one of my very favorite Indie Brands and Ketlyn is such an awesome lady. I have a ton of her beauties to share with you, including the rest of the V-Day Collection, Lung Cancer Awareness LE Polishes, and her newest creation - A cobalt blue with various blues and holo blue glitters called "Kimbers Korner"!

Right now I have Chocolate Treasure to share with you. Chocolate Treasure is a mix of gold, turquoise, and blue glitter of all shapes and sizes in a Chocolate colored base. I'll be honest, Brown isn't a color I'm normally attracted to, but as soon as I was finished with this mani I was all sorts of in love. And kind of wanted to lick my nails since they looked so yummy! Funnily enough, Diana and I are twins today! This wasn't planned at all...just goes to show ya GMTA! Be sure to check out her review of CT here!

This is 2 coats of Chocolate Treasure topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat (pic heavy cause I like it that way!)

Add caption

Tell me that isn't the most beautiful chocolate brown polish ever!! Yup, I love it!

Formula:
As always, Bitch  Glitz impresses here. Usable right from the bottle with no glopping, thickening, or clumpy glitters. Love!

Application:
Chocolate Treasure applied beautifully! A bit sreaky on the first coat, it evens out perfectly with the second. The glitters distribute evenly and no fishing needed even for the pink hearts. This does dry slightly textured, so I recommend a coat of Gelous or Glitter Food before topcoating.

One thing I have to mention about Bitch Glitz polishes is that they are made with a pinch of Diamond Dust. I've seen that used in mainstream polish previously and it never seemed to make a difference. Well, it really does with BG.  These babies dry hard as a diamond and I have yet to experience any tip wear or a single chip. Damned impressive!!

All Bitch Glitz creations are 3-free and made with the highest quality ingredients. Full size bottles retail for $10, full collections for $35, and the Valentines Day Collection sells for $26. You can find Bitch Glitz on Etsy by clicking here or by using the URL below.  Make sure to use the code below to save 15% off your order (and be sure to grab "Kimbers Korner", the polish, while you can!)!

Are you guys digging Bitch Glitz yet (Personally, I love the name *and* the polish!)? What are your thoughts on Chocolate Treasure?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Laquerlicious Cherished Cherub

Morning Lovelies! Happy Thursday! I cannot wait for this week to be over. It's been really long and stressful and I really just want to fall over.

Today I have the second polish from the new Laquerlicious Valentines Day Collection to share with you. Cherished Cherub is a serious glitter-love bomb in a fuchsia jelly base. It's packed full of fuchsia, pink, and purple multi-sized squares, hexes, bar glitters, round glitters, microglitter and even some Large Red Hearts. It is truly gorgeous! I have a serious soft spot for fuchsia glitters, and this one is definitely a new fave!

In fact, the only thing I didn't like about this polish was photographing it! There is so much going on in this baby that my camera flipped out! Less than a month until I get my DSLR and don't have to worry about that anymore!

Anyway, this is 2 coats of Cherished Cherub topped with Gelous and HK Girl top coat:

Love!!! This polish is just stunning. It is a bit more opaque IRL - my lighting is intense and likes to shine through jellies.

Formula:
For a serious glitterbomb this polish has a superb formula. Thick enough to really hold the glitter, but never gloppy or goopy. As is standard with Laquerlicious polish, Cherished Cherub was usable straight out of the bottle.

Aplication:
So smooth! This baby applied like silk, despite being chock full of glitter. I was actually kind of in awe! I experienced no dragging, balding, gooping, or clumping. The larger glitters were also readily available and I did not have to fish for them.  It does dry slightly textured so I added a coat of Gelous before top coating.

Once again, I am highly impressed with Laquerlicious. I have yet to use one of Michelle's creations and not just love it.

All Laquerlicious polish is 3-free and available via LaquerliciousUnity on Etsy. Full size bottles retail for $8.50, however there is a huge sale going on right now! You can snag some full sized polishes for as low as $5!!!!! I'm actually going to be ordering some this weekend!

I'll have the final V-Day polish from Laquerlicious for you all tomorrow, as well as a St.Patrick's Day beauty over the weekend! Good things are coming from Laquerlicious, loves! Be sure to keep an eye on the shop!

Are you looking at Valentine's Day polish yet?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

ABC Challenge! Letter "A": Laquerlicious "A Card and Candy"

Good morning Lovelies! Welcome to the first day of the ABC Challenge! In case you haven't seen this challenge before, the ABC Challenge consits of posting a polish whose name, brand (or a style of nail art if you would like) that coincides with the letters of the alphabet. Most people do this all at once, but our group likes to be realistic and low pressure, so we are posting once weekly, on Wednesdays, for this challenge. If you haven't joined in, feel free to leave a comment letting me know you'd like to join in and I'll add you to the list!

Today is the letter "A" (anyone else have a Sesame Street moment there?), and Despite this being the first challenge day, I had a hard time deciding. Until the mail came! Michelle was kind enough to me the Laquerlicious Valentines Day Collection to share with you all, and one of the polishes starts with an A! Talk about luck, since I would've been pouting had I not been able to wear one of these babies immediately.;)

Laquerlicious is one of my fave Indie Brands these days.  Michelle's color combos and formula are top notch. This polish is called "A Card and Candy", and is...well, it's freakin' wow! ACAC (as it will now be called since I am a slacker) is a veritable glitter love-fest of multi-sized Pink, Red, and Purple Hexes, Squares, and bars as well as some teeny tiny purple bar glitter, happily swimming along in a soft pastel pink base. It's truly one of those have-to-see polishes, so let's take a peek!

All photos are 2 coats of A Card and Candy topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat. I photographed this in lower light since brighter lighting washed out the pink base. Only a month or so until DSLR time. Woohoo!

Man! I LOVE this polish! I've mentioned before that I love the soft, pastel bases as opposed to the straight white, but pink!!! I love Pink! Combined with all the glitters, this polish really shines.

Formula:
Once again, Laquerlicious wins. ACAC was usable straight out of the bottle, didn't thicken at all during use, did not glop or goop up, and the glitters weren't all clumped together.

Application:
Dreamy! This girl applied so smoothly for a chunky glitter polish. I had zero dargging, balding, or pesky glitter congregating at the tips. I didn't have to hand place a single glitter, and they all lay down nice and flat. ACAC is also much more opaque than I was expecting, with full opacity at 2 thin coats.  ACAC does dry slightly textured, so I added a coat of Gelous (for protection as well....I'm wearing this as a full mani!) before topcoating. So far wear is excellent - I've been cleaning, changing diapers, and typing all morning and not a single bit of tip wear and no chips.

Laquerlicious Valentines Day Collection is coming soon, so keep your eyes out (I'll post when they're listed)! I'll be posting the other 2 V-Day polishes over the next few days, as well as a St. Patrick's Day polish! Woohoo!

All Laquerlicious polishes are 3-free and retail for $8.50 per full size bottle, however Michelle has a huge sale going at the moment. Some full size polishes are only $5.00! Head on over to LaquerliciousUnity on Etsy and check it out!

And that's it for my Letter "A" (Is this where we make Scarlet Letter jokes?). I'm off to see what everyone has posted for today! I highly suggest you check them out as well! We have a super awesome and talented group of polish fanatics and you don't want to miss out!
