Bitch Glitz Cosmetics Valentine's Day Collection: Strawberry Sunrise

Good morning lovelies! Happy Caturday! Charlie is hiding at the moment since the baby has been chasing her relentlessly this morning. She's so awesome with him - she will let him pet her, hug her, lay his head against her belly...and all the while she grooms him and purrs. I've always found that amusing since when we first saw her at Animal Humane we were told that she was not good with children and dogs. We had Dex with us that day and Charlie immediately gave him kitty head butts and kisses. She also bonded with Marleigh, my 120lb Labrador/Great Dane, and now that gigantic dog is her best friend. She's a pretty awesome cat.

Today I have the 2nd of 3 Valentine's Day Polishes from my girl Ketlyn at Bitch Glitz Cosmetics. Strawberry Sunrise is opaque fiery fuschia, filled with metallic silver, holographic white, purple, and pink glitter that sparkles in the sunlight. This girl was difficult to capture at 2 am in artificial lighting! My camera tends to really freak out with pinks and purples - add glitter to the mix and I'm surprised it hasn't exploded. T minus 14 days or so until I get my DSLR! I dunno about you guys, but I'm looking forward to crystal clear pictures!

But back to the polish! This is 2 coats of Strawberry Sunrise topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat:

I really wish my pictures showed how vibrant this color is. IRL the fuchsia base is a bit more vibrant and the glitter really sparkles.

Formula:
As with all BG polishes, Strawberry Sunrise has a lovely, thick but usable straight from the bottle formula. No thickening, gooping or glopping.

Application:
Smooth and silky, Strawberry Sunrise applied easily, stayed right where I put it and did not show any dragging, balding, or clumping of the glitters. This polish is pretty opaque, however you will need 2 coats for full opacity. Strawberry Sunrise dries slightly textured, but not as textured as chunkier glitters. I used a coat of Gelous before my usual top coat to make sure my nails were smooth.

I am consistently impressed with Bitch Glitz Cosmetics. Ketlyn has managed to find that delicate balance that makes a formula stand out, and her colors and glitter mixes are always stunning. Another thing that really stands out with BG polishes is longevity. These polishes dry hard and I have yet to experience a chip or anything beyond some very minor tip wear from constant typing. I always use a peel off base coat with glitters, and we all know how hard it is to get more than 24 hours wear when using peel off base coat, but with BG polishes I actually have to work to find a corner to lift up to peel off the polish!

All Bitch Glitz creations are 3-free and made with the highest quality ingredients, including a pinch of Diamond Dust. Full size bottles retail for $10, full collections for $35. Ketlyn is also amazing with custom creations, so if you have a dream polish in mind shoot her a note! She has created 3 custom polishes for me (You'll see those this coming week), including the Limited Edition 'Kimber's Korner", a beautiful Cobalt Blue with a variety of blue, bar, and holo glitters.  You can find Bitch Glitz Cosmetics on Etsy (clicky!) and you can also save 15% off your entire order by using the code below!
