Frankenstain Nail Polish: Holo!! Hooray!! and Let Me Count The Ways

Hello Lovelies! Happy Tuesday! I'm slowly but surely starting to catch up again. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I have been so stressed out over being so behind on swatches (especially White Owl!). I know that life happens, but my OCD isn't happy about being off schedule in any way. My OCD is also flipping out because I keep forgetting my review disclaimer in my posts!

Today I have 2 polishes from Frankenstain Nail Polish, a fairly new Indie Brand. I had come across Frankenstain's polishes while browsing Etsy a few times, and was very excited when Sarah contacted me to review some! Frankenstain's slogan : "From Our Twisted Minds to Your Lovely Nails!" is absolute genius and it really does resonate throughout their creations.

Today I'll be showing you Holo!! Hooray! and Let Me Count The Ways. These girls are among the softer side of Frankenstain's pretties, but don't be fooled! These babies definitely pack a punch!

First up is my very favorite Frankenstain Polish, Holo!! Hooray!!, a beautiful silver holographic glitter polish. Holo!! Hooray!! (hereby known as "HH") can be worn alone, or layered to add sparkle. I chose to wear HH sans undies, since I LOVE a good holo glitter.

This is 3 thin coats of Holo!! Hooray! topped with Gelous and HK Girl Top Coat (Click on the photos to make larger). Photos are intentionally on the dark side to show the holo:

Although Holo glitters are nothing new, I'm always thrilled to find a good one! Holo!! Hooray!! is one of the nicest holographic glitters in my stash, and I know I'll need a backup bottle! The holo effect is very strong and visible in almost every lighting condition. In sunlight, HH is almost blinding! If you're looking for some serious holo sparkle, don't pass on this baby!

HH's formula is Indie thick, but this is always a bonus with heavy glitters. Not thickening or clumpy glitters and application was a breeze. HH does dry texctured, so I recommend either a coat of Gelous or Glitter Food if you like a smooth surface.

Next up is Let Me Count the Ways, a stunning blue with hints of purple shimmer, infused with blue holo and sparse purple glitters. This polish is part of FP's Valentine's Day Collection, but it's been so popular that they've decided to keep it around.

I love blue polish. LOVE it. And Let Me Count The Ways (LMCTW) is a fabulous blue! I love this particular shade - kind of reminds me of a Husky's eyes - but throw in the soft shimmer and a touch of glitter?  *Swoon*!

LMCTW's formula was Indie thick as well, although not hard to work with. In fact, the only issues I had were due to my nail shape on my right hand! No thickening during use and no glopping or gooping. Since LMCTW is not a glitter bomb, no fishing is needed. Application was smooth and dry time was fast. LMCTW dries smooth to the touch, so all you'll need is your usual top coat for added shine.

I am very impressed with Frankenstain Nail Polish. The formula is great, the colors are gorgeous, and application is nice and smooth. I do have to mention that wear time was great as well -I wore these for over 24 hours with zero chipping or tip wear! I have 3 more pretties from FNP to share with you all (unfortunately one of the polishes broke when I went to open the bottle. My mailman is notoriously heavy handed and I'm actually surprised that this was my first casualty.), so be sure to check back soon!

Frankenstain Nail Polish can be purchased via Frankenstain Nails on Etsy. All Frankenstain Nail Polish is 3-free and cruelty free, handmade and hand labeled.  Full size bottles run $7.25 and minis are $3.50. FNP has a TON of polish available, so be sure to check them out! You can also follow Frankenstain Nail Polish on Facebook for updates and information.

What do you think of these polishes? Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
