Laquerlicious: Garden Pansy

Hi again lovelies! 2 posts in one day?? I know! I'm shocked myself! ;) I warned you that I'm playing catch up over here..

I have another awesome glitter from Laquerlicious to show you this evening. I adore Lacquerlicious and have been itching to get back to some Laquerlicious swatching! Michelle makes some of the most awesoe glitter bombs around, and this baby is no exception.

Garden Pansy is a purple shimmer base packed full of various shades, shapes, and sizes of purple, pink, silver and some scattered green (bar) glitter. This girl is a bit of a chameleon, as you'll see in photos. In bright and backlit conditions, she shows purple with a lot of berry colored shimmer. In low light, she glows a deeper purple, with pink highlights. Gorgeous!

Garden Pansy is definitely a glitter bomb, but can be worn either alone or layered. Since Laquerlicious glitters are usually opaque in 2 coats, I chose to go sans undies for this one. This is 2 coats of Garden Pansy topped with NPB Glitter Food and HK Girl top coat:

I love pink and purple, and I LOOOVE glitter, so I was eagerly anticipating wearing Garden Pansy. I'll apologize for the glare in the photos - My top coat is ultra shiny and that sometimes causes problems with lighting. I tried every lighting combo possible and still had glare. I'm not willing to switch to a less shiny top coat though!

Garden Pansy's formula is standard Laquerlicious fare - perfect from the moment you open the bottle. Thick, yet easy to work with, and never thickens during use or leaves you with chunks of glitter on your brush. Application was smooth, despite GP being a glitter bomb. The glitter dispersed easily and evenly and lay flat on the nail. Fairly opaque at one coat, 2 coats is perfection. This is a fairly hungry glitter, so make sure to use a coat of Glitter Food (if you don't have some, get some!) or Gelous (works, but not half as well) before top coating.

You can find Laquerlicious at LaquerliciousUnity on Etsy and all Laquerlicious creations are 3-free and cruelty free. Full size bottles will run you $8.50 each, but keep an eye out! Sales pop up regularly. You can follow Laquerlicious on Facebook  for updates and info.

What's your take on Garden Pansy? Are you a fan of glitter bombs?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
