Hello Lovelies! Phew! After some technical difficulties (my laptop ate my photos after spending a ton of time trying to get color accurate shots!), I made it! I was beginning to feel like this post just wasn't going to happen. Thankfully I was able to re-edit after picking hubby up from work.

I want to mention (just quickly) that I've been taking time out to respond to comments (finally!), so don't hesitate to interact! For awhile there I was just so busy that comments got out from under me, but I now have some designated comment time worked in. Now let's see if I can find some time to actually comment on all of your fabulous blog! I do read everyone's blogs, but commenting on each and every one is very time consuming and my youngest doesn't allow me to sit still long at all! But enough of my drivel! Let's talk about some polish!

Today's Polish is very special to me. A few weeks ago, I went to Fandom Cosmetics and asked if they would be willing to create a collection that I had been dying to have. I'm a HUGE Daft Punk fan (as you already know if you follow me on Instagram), and it's hard to find Daft Punk Polish Collections that really speak to me. Daring Digits had an awesome one, but it is sadly no longer available.

Lucky for me (and any other Daft Punk fans out there), Fandom Cosmetics stepped up to the plate and created a killer Daft Punk Inspired Collection just from video clips and Live Performance photos that I sent them.  I have to tell ya, I am thrilled with the results!!! It's like they put those pics in a blender and bottled them!

The first polish from this collection (the RAM Collection, after the most recent D.P. Album, Random Access Memories) is "Buy It, Use It", a mix of black and red hex glitters and large silver chrome circle glitters in a shimmery pearl white base. This beauty is inspired by the Music Video for "Technologic", and captures the look and feel perfectly IMO.

This is the pic that I sent Fandom for inspiration. These are still shots from the Technologic video, and I really wanted to see this captured in a polish.

Creepy Little Robot, isn't it? As much as I love Daft Punk, and Technologic is my all time fave D.P. song, that robot is way freaky. That weird little mouth and the way its hands move! Ahhhhhhh! I'd hate to wake up to that thing in my house! But it's pretty cool inspiration for a polish, right?

And here are the results - created by Fandom Cosmetics. This is 3 coats of Buy It, Use It with NPB Glitter Food (more on that later) and Top Coat. Warning! As much as I LOVE Pearly whites, they make my skin tone look washed out and blotchy. And I didn't wipe off my coconut oil very well. Sorry bout that folks! Look at the polish, not my skin. ;)

Yeah, perhaps I'm biased, but I really love this polish! The base is whiter than shown here - the shimmer and pearl white base combine to create a lot of glare, which gives this is a silver cast that it doesn't really have IRL.

Let's have a macro shot! I want to point out how you don't see the texture here that appears in the other shots. That's all just shadows from the glitters layering over each other and light glare playing tricks. This baby is actually smooth.

Check out that shimmer! Love it! One of the things that I really dig about this polish is that the base is NOT sheer. I really dig glitter in a shimmer base - it gives it dimension and texture.

I also really love those large circle glitters! Who doesn't love circle glitter, right? And as you can see, the color combo here is just spot on. Fandom really did a killer job!

Buy It, Use It's formula was lovely to work with with no thickening during use, no clumpy glitters and lovely consistency. Application was wonderful as well with no dragging or balding, despite the TON of glitter in this girl. The large circle glitters are on the heavy side, so I did have to tip my bottle upside down for a couple of minutes before polishing, but I do this with 90% of my glitters so it's not even an issue. I did not have to fish for those though, which is always a bonus. That lovely pearly white shimmer base is nice and opaque as well, and you can reach full opacity in 2 coats. i used 3 here since I managed to knock my nails against my table (again!) and had to fix a few smudges. Buy It, Use It does dry slightly textured due to the large amount of glitter in a thinner, shimmer base, however I really didn't need Glitter Food to smooth it out. I did use a coat of GF, but it made this mani a touch on the thick side. I experimented with my left hand, using only top coat, and it came out perfectly smooth and shiny, so you can skip the Glitter Food or Gelous with this one. Wear was excellent with no noticeable signs of wear at over 24 hours.

I am just over the moon with this polish. Fandom Cosmetics really did an incredible job making my little vision spring to life on my nails, and I am soooooo happy to have found them. There are 3 more polishes in this collection, and wait until you see them - they are vibrant, shiny, glittery heaven!!

If you have yet to check out Fandom Cosmetics, head on over to FandomCosmetics.com and check them out! Despite being relatively new to the Indie Game, they boast somewhere around 20 collections already...probably more but I'm too lazy to count. They specialize in Fan Collections like Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Avengers, Star Trek, Hannibal, The Walking Dead, Hunger Games...you name it, they probably have it. One thing that I have to mention here is that their glitters are the most vibrant and shiny glitters I have ever laid eyes on. Seriously, they are blinding! Full size bottles will run you $8.50, with full collections available for $30.50. You can also follow Fandom Cosmetics on Facebook and Instagram for new releases, sale info and swatches of their awesome polishes.

What do you think of Buy It, Use It? Any Daft Punk fans out there?

I'll be back tomorrow with a very special Flakie Friday post. I also have brand new Polish TBH, more from Luscious Potion, Fandom Cosmetics (Both Daft Punk inspired and others), Wingdust and more on the horizon, so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
