Luscious Potion: Modest Stream

 Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello lovelies! Phew! It has been a day! Feels like I've been chasing my little one nonstop! I wish I had that kind of energy.

Today I have another gorgeous polish from Luscious Potion to share. This is my very favorite glitter from LP, and the last of the glitters. Next I'll be sharing the holo thermals! Wahoo!

Modest Stream is an incredible silvery blue polish loaded with different sizes and shapes of black and turquoise glitter. We all know I'm a huge fan of blue, but this particular shade of blue is nothing short of incredible. It really does remind me of water trickling downstream.

Honestly I'm not sure I'm even doing this baby justice - what with my evil, traumatized skin at the moment. It is much better today, thanks to my Pure arriving, but it still has a ways to go. Just a heads up - I may be taking a couple days off over the weekend to baby my skin and nails. Nothing tears up your skin and cuticles like a blistery, scaly allergic reaction and a week without the only product that works.

Anyway, here is Modest Stream, 2 coats, with topcoat:

Yeah....gorgeous! SO much love for this polish. It's like Susan jumped into my head and pulled out the perfect combination of blues.

Modest Stream's formula is utterly fabulous. ZERO issues here. Application was just as stellar, with no dragging, balding, or clumpy glitters and totally opaque at 2 coats. The glitters disperse evenly and despite being slightly metallic, the base color does not streak. Dry time was fast, wear is stellar with no chips or tip wear at over 24 hours. Modest Stream does dry a bit textured, but my usual top coat was enough to smooth things out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - If you have not tried Luscious Potion, you need to grab some ASAP. Susan makes some incredible polish, amazing color combos, stellar glitters, and wait until you see the holo thermals! I promise you, they're epic. LP has fast become one of my very favorite brands for a reason. Susan is an incredible lady too, so if you have questions don't hesitate to contact her.

You can check out Luscious Potion on Big Cartel. Full size polishes sell for  $8.00 - $10.00 depending on finish, and Susan now has Mystery Bags available! The Disney Collection is also on sale for $5 per bottle or $25 for the full collection. I recommend following Luscious Potion on Instagram for new releases (I happen to know Susan has some epicness in the works!!), sales info, and swatches.

What do you think of Modest Stream? Are you a fan of glitters in a metallic type base?

I'll be back tomorrow with Flakie Friday! Wahoo! Oh how I love my flakies! I also have some more Love, Angeline, Polish TBH, Fandom Cosmetics, Wingdust and some new to me brands coming up.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Luscious Potion- Herbal Green

 Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello Lovelies! Happy Sunday! Normally I love Sundays because I can slack off a bit, but not today! Way too much to do this week. I'm really starting to need a clone.

Just a reminder- The Pure Nail Oil™ Get Naked Challenge is still going. If you want to participate, please check out the original post. The odds of winning are VERY HIGH at the moment, so what are you waiting for? All you need is clear before and after pictures - that's it! Don't let me down, ladies!!!

Today I have another awesome polish from Luscious Potion. Man, I am really loving LP polishes. Susan is so creative - her polishes are unique and the colors are just wow! I'm almost through the glitters now, so her amazing holo thermals will be showing up here at KLK very soon. You guys are going to fall over when you see them. They're seriously RAWR!

This pretty is Herbal Green from LP's Shifting Spring Collection. It's a seriously mind-blowing green shimmer base packed with small matte pink and shiny red glitters. I really thought this would feel almost Christmas-y to me, but it actually reminds me of Watermelon!

This is 2 coats of Herbal Green with NPB Glitter Food and Top Coat (please ignore my clean up lines. New clean up brush and it's kind of evil.):

O.o!! Look at that green! Now *that* is a cool green. And that shimmer....so sparkly! It literally twinkles. When I first saw this polish I knew that I would like it, but man! I am deeply in love. That amazing green with the red and pink glitters is just such a unique combination. Obviously this polish makes me all sorts of giddy.

Herbal Green's formula is spot on. Perfect consistency for all that glitter, but not so thick that it's goopy or hard to work with. Application was a breeze with no clumpy glitters, dragging or balding. HG does dry a bit textured, so I added a coat of NPB Glitter Food (can I just say how much I love this stuff?) as well as top coat for a smooth surface. Without top coat, this baby has more of a matte finish, which is actually a really cool look. I was very close to leaving this one matte. Wear was killer as well, with no signs of wear at 24 hours.

I know, I've said it before, but I LOVE Luscious Potion. Susan has really found her niche and is running with it. Her glitter are fabulous and like I said above - wait until you see her thermal holos. The colors are gorgeous and the holo is so sparkly. I'm itching to wear them. There are new polishes in the works (I can't wait! Anyone want to donate so I can buy some? hahaha!) and I guarantee they are going to be something to behold.

You can find Luscious Potion at Big Cartel. Full size polishes run $8, Thermals $10, and the Disney Collection is on sale for just $5 each. Susan has also been generous to us polish lovers - use code 15KimbersKorner for 15% off your order. Follow Luscious Potion on Instagram for news on sales, new releases (lots coming soon!), and tons of swatches.

What do you think of Herbal Green? Doesn't it remind you of watermelons (and now I'm hungry)?

I'll be back tomorrow with some new and incredible Polish TBH! I also have some yet to be released thermal awesomeness from Candied Lustre coming up over the next 3 days. Wohoo! Oh how I love thermals!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Luscious Potion: Vivid Flower - Swatches and Review

Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello lovelies! Happy Thursday! Tomorrow is another payday Friday for me, and I'm incredibly excited since I can actually buy some polish this payday! Woohoo!

Today I have another gorgeous polish from Luscious Potion to share with you all. Luscious Potion has fast become a favorite brand for me, and I'm always excited to wear them. Susan is still fairly new to the Indie game, but her polishes are top notch quality and the colors are just fab.

Vivid Flower is a beautiful blend of Orange hex glitter, fine purple micro glitter and small teal glitter in a Violet base. This polish is from Susan's second collection - Shifting Spring. Susan's first collection (the Disney Collection) was one of the best first collections I've ever tried, and Shifting Spring is even better. She's definitely on a roll here!

This is 3 coats of Vivid Flower with top coat:

Isn't she gorgeous??! I love this shade of purple, even though it does make me look a bit lobstery. I can put up with lobster hands for a polish this pretty!

Vivid Flower's formula was excellent. No thickening during use, no clumpy glitters. Application was stellar with no issues whatsoever. Dry time was super fast and wear was excellent with no chips or signs of wear at 24 hours. The larger orange glitters lie flat on the nail, which I feel the need to mention since the light catches the center of the hexes and makes it appear to be curling in pictures. Totally not the case. Vivid Flower dries just the slightest bit textured, but nothing your regular top coat can't handle.

I am even more impressed with Luscious Potion than I was when I swatched the first collection. The formula (even though the formula was fabulous with the first collection) is even better and application (same thing, it was excellent before) is even smoother. This is just a quality brand and I'm definitely a huge fan.

You can find Vivid Flower and all of the awesome Luscious Potion's creations by heading over to Luscious Potion on Big Cartel. Full size polishes will run you between $8 and &10 depending on finish. Full size bottles of the Disney Collection polishes are on sale for $5 right now, so don't miss out on those! Luscious Potion is also on Instagram, so make sure to give Susan a follow to stay up to date on new releases, sales, and swatches. And don't forget - Susan has been generous enough to give you, my fabulous readers, 15% off using code 15KimbersKorner at checkout!

What do you think of Vivid Flower? Are you digging Luscious Potion's pretties as much as I am?

I'll be back tomorrow with Flakie Friday goodness, so swing back by!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Today I have some pretties from Luscious Potion to share with you. Luscious Potion is one of the newer Indie brands, but has really impressed with gorgeous glitter toppers, glitter blends and thermal polishes. I have 2 glitter toppers from LP's debut Disney Collection for you all, so let's get started!

First up is Royal Beauty, a mix of Yellow hexes, teal hexes and teal diamonds in a clear base. This pretty is based on Princess Jasmine from the Disney movie Aladdin, and definitely reminds me of Jasmine's awesome attire.

This is 1 coat of Royal Beauty over A-England Galahad (with top coat):

Teal and Yellow has always a fave color combo when it comes to glitters, but this stands out due to the diamond shaped glitters. Love it!

Royal Beauty's formula was wonderful with a lovely thick consistency (helps to hold those glitters!), yet it wasn't so thick that it was hard to use. I did have to do a slight amount of glitter placing with the Diamond glitters, but I didn't find that problematic at all. Royal Beauty does dry just a tiny bit textured, but my usual top coat smoothed that out nicely.

Next up is Simply Magical, a mix of Light Blue, Royal Blue, and Blue Star shaped glitters. Based on Disney's Cinderella, this polish reminds me of Cinderella's dress and her fairy godmother waving her wand around (and the resulting starts and magical trails!). It also reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys, which is hard for me since I am a Die-Hard Redskins fan (have been since 4th grade!). ;)

This is 1 coat of Simply Magical over Orly Mirror Mirror:

This glitter is so pretty! I have a soft spot for this one since I love the color combo so very much! I did have some issues with this manicure, but those were solely due to my bottle of glitter food really disliking the 105 degree weather! So if you see bubbles, be aware that it's my glitter food and NOT this polish.  Also, greys make me a touch lobstery, eh?

Simply Magical has the same wonderfully thick formula as Royal Beauty, but again this isn't a case of too thick to work with. If anything, it really works well with those larger, shaped glitters. The stars in Simply Magical are a bit heavy and will settle, but if you just tip the bottle upside down for 2-3 minutes before use, you'll have an abundance of those little stars! I actually had to tap a few off my brush since I didn't want to cover up the smaller glitters in photos. Application was easy and straight forward - I didn't have to hand place the stars with this girl and the smaller glitters dispersed easily. Simply Magical dries a bit more textured than Royal Beauty, so I added a coat of Glitter Food (again, GF doesn't like the desert much and got a touch thick and bubbly on me) to smooth things out before top coating.

I'm always so impressed when I wear a Luscious Potion polish. What really stands out for me is that Luscious Potion is still one of the newer kids on the block, yet the color combinations, glitter mixes and quality of these polishes is exceptional.  I can't wait to show you all more from this awesome brand.

You can find Royal Beauty, Simply Magical and all the other gorgeous LP creations at Luscious Potion on Big Cartel. Royal Beauty and Simply magical (as well as the rest of the Disney Collection) are currently on sale for just $5 each too! Regular price for full size bottles is $8, so this a great deal. Be sure to follow Luscious Potion on Instagram (@Luscious Potion) for sales information, new releases, swatches and more

I have more from Luscious Potion coming up, including thermal holos, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

What do you think of these glitter toppers?

I'll be back tomorrow with the final ABC Challenge post! Bittersweet, but we do have another Nail Art Challenge coming up at the end of the month!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Luscious Potion - Innocent Snow

Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Hello Lovelies! Phew! I have been struggling with this evil router all morning (and last night), and finally managed to get the connection up and running again. I don't know about you, but I always feel kind of lost when my internet acts up. It's amazing just how much we rely on technology, huh? I'm also bummed since that index nail that has the crack in it? Yeah, lost more length due that horrid beast last night. Now that it's hitting the free edge, the patches just aren't holding. Meh and blah. I don't mind shorties, but I want my length back already! Thankfully my left hand is at the point where I'm just letting those nails grow without messing with them, save for shaping. Hopefully I'll ba back to swatching on that hand within 1-2 weeks.

Today I have another stunner from Luscious Potion to share with you. I have to be honest - I am really loving Luscious Potion right now. Susan, the genius behind LP, is fairly new to the Indie Polish game but has really put out some impressive polish with her first 2 collections. I cannot wait to show you her awesome thermals, but you know how much I adore glitter, so I must wear those first!

Today's beauty is Innocent Snow, from Susan's first collection. This collection is Disney Inspired and manages to capture the feel of the selected Disney films wonderfully. Innocent Snow is obviously inspired by Snow White, and truly invokes images of Snow White flitting about the forest with all her animal friends (and the dwarves!). This girl is a vibrant and stunning mix of Cobalt Blue, Bright Apple Red, and Soft White square glitters with small yellow circle glitters in a clear base. I chose to layer Innocent Snow over Rimmel Blue Eyed Girl, a highly pigmented blue creme.

This is 1 coat of Innocent Snow over Blue Eyed Girl, with top coat:

I LOVE THIS! I mean, how can you not love a Snow White based polish?

Innocent Snow's formula is superb. The base is lovely and thick, which always helps to carry those glitters, yet not too thick to work with. Application was a breeze, with the glitters dispersing nicely across the nail and laying flat. In fact, this applied so well that I did not need any clean up - no stray glitters at the free edge or on my skin.  I applied this glitter with normal brush strokes - no need to dab this one. Dry time was fast and wear is excellent! I'm actually still wearing this pretty and have no lifting glitters at all.

There are so many new indies on the market right now that it's kind of hard to tell what is great and what is just okay....but let me tell ya - Luscious Potion is quality. The polishes from this brand that I have tried so far have been from Susan's very first collection and they are incredibly impressive. I can't wait to share the second collection since they can only get better!

You can check out Luscious Potion at Big Cartel. Full size polishes sell for $8, save for thermals which will run you $10 each. You can also grab the entire Disney Collection for $25.00. You can also follow Luscious Potion on Instagram (@LusciousPotion) for updates on sales, new releases, and swatches.

What do you think of Innocent Snow? Are you a Snow White fan?

I'll have more from this awesome brand coming up, as well as some pretties from Delush Polish, Fandom Cosmetics, Polish TBH and more, so stick around!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

Luscious Potion: Elegant Lotus

 Press Sample

*Product(s) Featured provided for review. Please see Disclaimer/Legal Page for more information**

Good Morning Lovelies! I've been MIA for the past few days, and I apologize for my absence. Yesterday was my daughter's 12th Birthday, and I spent the last few days preparing for the festivities. I spent a lot of time cleaning the heck out of my house since she was going to have a friend over, but unfortunately she couldn't make it. But my house is all sparkly now! Kalli did have a great birthday, and it's always awesome to see her so happy. I still can't believe she is 12! Seems like just yesterday that she was a little itty bitty newborn in my arms. How time flies, right?

Today I have a fairly new Indie Brand to introduce you to, and I am way excited! Luscious Potion is the brainchild of Susan V, who I had the pleasure of getting to know through Instagram. Susan and I are email buddies as well, and she recently asked me to share her pretties with you! I have 11 of her beauties to share with you lovelies, so I figure I'd get started right away. Besides, these polishes are much too gorgeous to not try right away!

The first Luscious Potion polish I have for you is called Elegant Lotus. This absolutely gorgeous polish is from Susan's first collection - a Disney Inspired Collection. That's a pretty big undertaking for a first collection, but let me tell ya - Susan has done it very well!

Elegant Lotus is a blend of Small blue hex glitter, smaller red hex glitters and teal hexes in a soft pink shimmer base. I adore shimmers with glitter, but they're hard to pull off. Elegant Lotus however, is a fabulous blend of sparkly glitter and awesome shimmer. Let's take a peek!

This is 2 coats of Elegant Lotus topped with NPB Glitter Food and top coat:

I. Love. This. Polish! Susan has some amazing polishes, but Elegant Lotus was the first Luscious Potion that I saw on IG, and I fell in love right away. I just had to wear this one first, and I was not let down. It's beautiful in pictures, but IRL? Those glitters are so sparkly and really pop against the pink base. I spent alot of time staring at this, and as far as people noticing my nails while I was out and about, this was one of the most asked about polishes that I have worn.

Elegant Lotus has a lovely formula - Indie thick but not too thick, if you know what I mean. Thick enough to avoid flooding and carry the glitters well, but not so thick as to be problematic. I experienced zero thickening during use and no glitter issues. Application was a cake walk with no dragging or balding and no clumpy glitters. This girl has excellent opacity, barely needing the 2nd coat of polish to be completely opaque. Dry time was lightning quick, even before top coat. Wear was awesome - I wore this for 2 days and had only some minor top wear. Elegant Lotus does dry slightly textured, so I added a coat of Glitter Food for a glassy smooth finish, but that's more of a personal preference than a necessity.

I have to say that Elegant Lotus is highly impressive, especially for being part of Susan's very first collection. This is one of those polishes that I can see myself reaching for again and again, especially when I want something soft, but still eye catching. I'm incredibly excited to try out the rest of her pretties, including her holo thermals!

You can find Luscious Potion on Big Cartel, and the Disney Collection is on sale now! You can grab full size bottles for $5 each, or the entire collection for $25.00. Other polishes sell for $8.00 for full sized bottles, save for the holo thermals, which run $10 each. You can also save 15% off your order by using code 15kimberskorner! You can also follow Luscious Potion on Instagram (@LusciousPotion) for updates on re-stocks, sales and more swatches).

I'll be back ( I hope anyway!) later today with some Polish TBH! I have some more Luscious Potion coming up this week as well as Live.Life.Polished, Polish Addict, NPB and more!

What do you think of ELegant Lotus? Are you a fan of glittery shimmers?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
