Glitzology Bad Santa Collection: Island of Misfit Toys

Hello lovelies! Late post today! I had so many errands to run today that I just got a chance to sit down at the macbook and post.

Today I have a really cool holiday polish from Glitzolgy's Bad Santa Collection. Island of Misfit Toys is an incredibly fun Holiday glitter bomb that features Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple glitters, Hexes, and Squares in a Shimmery White Base. This polish really does remind me of the Island of Misfit Toys from Rudolph - remember all those bright and colorful toys singing in the snow? This girl brilliantly captures that moment on your nails!

All photos are 2 coats of Island of Misfit Toys, 1 coat of Gelous and a coat of SV.

I never thought that I would enjoy a Rainbow glitter as much as I did IoMT. There is just something about all those colorful glitters against the shimmery white base that really made me all sorts of giddy!

Formula:
For being a veritable glitter bomb in a semi-sheer base, I found the formula on this polish to be incredibly easy to work with. Thick enough to grab a ton of glitter on the brush, but no so thick that it was gloppy or the glitters clumped together. No thickening during use, and no pesky clumps of glitter at the top of the nail.

Application:
Easy Peasy! IoMT applied beautifully with no dragging, balding or gooping. In fact, this was one of the nicest glitter bombs I have ever applied. The base color is semi-sheer on he first coat, yet he glitter had enough coverage that I could have left it there. I have a feeling this would look very cool layered! I was worried that the second coat would cover most of the glitter, but this was no the case at all! The sheer base seemed to stick to itself and slide off the glitters, showing the rainbow of colors. Awesome! It does dry a touch textured, but with a thin coat of Gelous and a coat of SV, this was lovely and smooth to the touch.

I had such a blast wearing this polish! So many people asked me what I was wearing on my nails, since hey hadn't seen anyting like it. The shimmery white base really does make this unique to my collection, and I cannot wait to wear this again!

Glitzology polishes are 3 free, and for a limited time full size bottles are on sale for $5!! You can find Island of Misfit Toys here or by visiting Glitzology Beauty on Etsy. There are TONS of colors to choose from, each one unique!

What do you think of Island of Misfit Toys? Do you like the shimmery white base (as opposed to the usual milky white)?

Thanks or stopping by and Happy Polishing!
