Today I have another new beauty from Polish TBH to share with you. Chaotic Peligro is a stunning and complicated polish. This girl consists of Fuchsia microglitter with sparse fuchsia round and hex glitters, as well as a few smaller blue and silver glitters in a charcoal jelly base. The mix sounds odd, right? Not so much! It actually creates a stunningly complex polish. Under my lighting setup, this baby looks like she sound, but in the sunlight ( which I didn't notice until after I had killed my camera battery), the charcoal base shifts to a Silvery Grey with blue shimmery highlights. Combine with the Fuchsia glitters this effect is pure magic. I may actually re-swatch this one just to show you what it looks like int the sun. It's incredible.
For today, all I have are shots taken with my usual photo setup. They do show the glitters though, and I'm getting much better at this right hand photo stuff. Be sure to click to see more....the best shots are after the cut.
This is 3 coats of Chaotic Peligro topped with SH Mega Shine:
I can't tell you how much I love this polish. I loved it before I saw that secret sunlight-driven shimmer, but with it, I love it that much more. In fact, I'm still wearing this. Day 3 with no chips and barely any tip wear! Christian makes some superior polish!
Formula:
Usable straight out of the bottle, Chaotic Peligro boasts one of the nicest Jelly/Glitter formulas I have ever used. It has that slight Indie Polish thickness, yet this seems slightly thinner than most. I experienced no thickening during use with CP as well.
Application:
Smooth and silky, Chaotic Peligro applied like liquid silk. No dragging, balding, clumping or gooping here. For a darker jelly base, this does need at least 2 good coats for opacity. I used 3 here for depth and color. Dry time was impressive as well, and wear is amazing (as I mentioned previously). The larger glitter particles are sparse, but this is not designed for those to be packed onto the nail. The sparseness of the larger glitters gives this polish some mystery.
I have to say this is another must have from Polish TBH. I love dark, vampy colors, but this takes the cake. Vampy and glittery? Hidden color change and shimmer? Absolute love! Brilliant. Just brilliant.
All Polish TBH creations are 3-Free and can found via Polish TBH on Etsy. Full size bottles retail for $8, minis for $4. Restock is still in progress but some polish is currently available. If you are looking for a specific polish that is not listed, just shoot Christian an Etsy not and she can tell you when it will be re-stocked. She's an awesome lady so be don't be afraid to ask!
If you can't tell, I am in love with Indie Polish. I don't foresee purchasing anything mainstream for awhile (at least until CG releasese their holos in the Spring). Indie Polish is just so much more creative, higher quality, and I never have a problem finding just what I'm pining for. If you haven't checked out the Indie scene yet, I highly suggest hopping on Etsy. Personally I am loving the smaller shops that aren't all over just yet. Twenty Seven Polish is a definite fave, and Lisa not only makes awesome polish but is sweet as pie. Polish TBH is obviously a fave, and with a new line coming soon, I recommend keeping an eye out. Laquerlicious is relatively new, but Michelle has TONS of polish available and all of them are stunning! Give all 3 of these ladies some serious love. They deserve it!
What are your thoughts on Chaotic Peligro? Would you like to see a re-swatch with the sunlight shots?
Thanks for stopping by and Happy (Indie) Polishing!
-Kimber
