Hiya Lovelies! I'm still mourning the loss of my length. Man, it really bothers me since I had literally just hit my preferred length. I guess that will teach me to do laundry (the dryer door is the evil nail breaking culprit)! I didn't lose all my length, and I do like where they are at.... I just really prefer my pre-break length. I curse December every year since it's always around this time that I end up having a serious break on my photo hand. My right hand is still long, so I may try to do some swatches with that hand for a bit. Either way, breaks never stop me from blogging!
In case you missed it, I'm having a giveaway! I have teamed up with Gini from Sassy Paints and we're giving away some AWESOME Indie polishes, including A-England, Twenty Seven Polish and Polish TBH. There may be more added soon, so be sure to check back! Go forth and enter here!!!! (Note: you must be a public follower of both KLK and Sassy Paints to win)
Today's polish is brand new from Polish TBH. Christian is in the process of releasing a new collection, and I was lucky enough to grab 4 of them. I recently posted Tiny Dancer (if you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out...you can win a full size bottle in the giveaway!), which just blew me away with the formula and subtle yet sexy color combo. The same thing happened with today's polish..
Sugarplum Fairy is a sheer Cranberry colored jelly loaded with fine gold microglitter. The Cranberry jelly base is so soft and beautiful. Throw in the gold microglitter and wow! A soft, semi-sheer, yet sparkly and sexy beauty! This polish definitely reminds me of the Holiday Season, yet isn't so glaringly Xmas related that it can't be worn year round. I'm certain I'll rock this in the summer just so I can watch the glitter sparkle in the sun.
This is 3 coats of Sugarplum Fairy over OPI Nail Envy Matte (need some strength!) and topped with SV:
I love how subtle yet sparkly this polish is! It brightens up in direct lighting, and softens in natural light. It really is just beautiful and definitely unique to my stash.
Formula:
I am always astounded at how lovely Polish TBH's formula is. Even though they have the usual Indie polish thickness, they are always usable straight out of the bottle - no thinner needed. Sugarplum Fairy was the perfect consistency with no thickening during use.
Application:
Smooth as silk, Sugarplum Fairy practically applied itself. No issues with dragging, balding or glopping and the glitter did not clump together at the tips. This polish is very sheer, so if you're not a fan of some mild VNL, you'll need at least 3 coats for opactiy. I'm wearing 3, but keep in mind macro shots are very unforgiving. IRL 3 coats leaves a beautiful sheer Cranberry with just a slight hint of VNL. I'm also pretty sure this girl would look amazing layered.
I am absolutely in love with this polish. It's just so unique and the color combo is just...wow. Love it!
Polish TBH can be found via Polish TBH on Etsy. All polish is 3-free and retail for $8 for full sized bottles and $4 per mini. Christin is in the middle of restocking at the moment (looks like about 7-10 days at the moment), so if there is a polish you see here but not on Etsy, just send her a note!
What do you think of Sugarplum Fairy? Are you into sheer glitters?
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to enter the giveaway!
