This beautiful spring Saturday deserves a splash of gorgeous colour. I had a little makeup session with myself and my mirror this morning inspired by the colours teal, blue and lime.

I made a rainbow look accompanied by purple lips and a vintage hairdo. Unfortunately I am not very inspired clotheswise to dress up, however for the special occasion of a Saturday without plans I wore a navy blue pencil skirt with a coral top and a a black belt to accentuate the waist. That also spiced up my vintage mood. What I really wished I could have worn today is the circus costumes for Reese in Water for Elephants. I want to dress up in jewels, body conscious siilver suits, feathers and white skirts and of course an Indian elephant. But as I don't have these things in my wardrobe (especially not the elephant) I went for simple pin up.

I then went slightly more in this direction:

Even though this is not me, not my clothes and unfortunately not my car, this was the feel of my look today.

Well as for the makeup, I was going to have a little adventure. I prepared the colours by mixing them on the back of my hand so I could determine the intensity and the shades I wanted to combine. As I haven't got an eyeshadow in teal I chose to base with Lancome eyepencil in a deep green and top it with a Rimmel blue shadow - luckily it worked as planned and I went rainbow crazy. Have a look:

So, that was my day of fun. Now it is getting late(ish) and I must come up with a great dinner idea for my beloved, who has been diving all day and is in need of a good meal. But I can't serve fashion or makeup for dinner, so I have a little problem, or as I prefer to call any problems, challenge.
