Monthly theme: Bows

Hello makeup-lover's and fellow spooks! :)




This month's theme at http://www.sophistiquenoir.com is Bows which immediately made me come up with several ideas. I decided not to include the bow in the makeup look, though, and took this opportunity to show you all one of the necklaces I have made. I'm currently very into making my own gothic jewelry and I have plans on starting to sell them too. :)

But of course, since this is a makeup blog, there will be a makeup look included. ;) Since this is a very girly theme I decided to go all the way with a pink makeup look matching the jewelry.

So here's the look:

I must say that I love these false eyelashes! They are the #105 by Ardell, and they are just the perfect length and volume for most looks. :)

The necklace is very Lolita inspired with a bow and lace. I'm not very much into the Lolita-culture but I think accessories associated with it can be very cute. :)

Pink is a very underestimated color! Combined with black pink is absolutely awesome. But I guess most colors are... ;) 

And here's the closeup on the eye makeup. It's nothing too complicated, just a regular cat eye shape using a hot pink eyeshadow from the Coastal Scents 88-palette and Love+ by Sugarpill in the crease to create some depth.

*IMPORTANT Since M.A.C. has decided to start testing their products on animals I can no longer recommend you to buy these products! The reason why I'm still using them is because I bought them before it came to my knowledge that M.A.C. would become a non-cruelty free brand. I won't however buy any new products by them since animals are more important to me than looking good.
