Vintage Varnish! Maybelline Express Finish in Pile It On Purple!

Hi Ladies! First of all let me say that I am THRILLED that so many of you are joining me in the 31 day challenge! I'm dying to see what everyone comes up with, and I'm over the moon to meet so many new people! Yay!

Today I am sharing one of my Vintage Polishes, Maybelline Express Finish in Pile It On Purple. It was hard to choose a starting point for wearing my Vintage polish, but this color was just too cool to ignore any longer. Pile It On Purple is a Purple leaning Pink jelly with Holo Microglitter. The glitter is tiny and almost impossible to capture on camera (I tried in sunlight as well and it still looks Silver on camera), but trust me, it's teeny holo glitter. So cool!

I was impressed with this girl like crazy. I've had this polish for a good 6-7 years, and it's older than that, so imagine my surprise when it only needed a couple drops of thinner. It was smooth as silk to apply (although I managed to ding them against the table, Yikes!), and the wear was amazing. Not a chip after 3 days! Ahhhhhh, they don't make them like they used to! Must be all those chemicals. ;)

The downside is this color did not look great with my skin tone. I'm naturally a little on the pink side, so this particular shade did nothing for that. I love it anyway, and will definitely be wearing it again. Although sparingly, since it's obviously my only bottle.

Details:
1 coat OPI Nail Envy Matte
3 coats Pile It On Purple
1 coat Seche Vite

Despite it not looking fab on me, I do love this color. I'm starting to wear my Vintage polish a bit at a time. I don't know why I don't wear them more often, other than if I wear them, then they run out that much faster. I have a huge collection of pinks and lighter colors from Maybelline, all of which are at least 10 years old. I love them like crazy, so I guess I should wear them, right?

What do you think of this color? Do you own any Vintage polish?

Thanks for dropping by and as always, Happy Polishing!
