Twenty Seven Polish: Change Is Good (color changing glitter!)

Hello again lovelies! It's another 2 post day! I just couldn't wait to share this polish with you all!

I've been sharing some polishes from Twenty Seven Polish lately, and I'm loving them so much that I just can't hold off on wearing them. This particular polish is very cool - it's a color changing polish loaded with glitter. Love!

Change Is Good (what a fab name for a color changing polish, right?) is a fuchsia microglitter in a color changing jelly base. When warm, the base is a lovely sot fuchsia, matching the glitter. When cold, the base shifts to a vibrant purple. The glitter matches perfectly with both colors, adding a lovely sparkle and depth, yet it doesn't overwhelm the base color.

First up, the pink. This is what Change is good looks like normally on my nails. Please forgive the patches with no glitter - I got a little rough with the gelous and managed to pull some of the glitter off. It's not noticeable IRL, but you know how macro shots are! Also the random specks on my fingers in the purple shots is ice flakies...you'll see why later. :)

This is 2 coats of Change Is Good, No undies.

And now, the purple. This is what Change Is Good looks like when my hands are cold. In order to get these shots under my hot lamp, I actually held my nails on a piece of frozen meat! Hilarious, right? ;)

Despite owning a few color changing polishes, this is the first I have actually worn. I am loving it! Watching the polish change color when  wash my hands in cool water, or when I'm outside in the cold brings out the kid in me. Alot of the time you can see both colors on my nails - pink on the nail bed and purple on the free edge. The glitter really makes this for me as well. I haven't seen many color changing polishes with glitter.

Formula:
Change Is Good is a thicker glitter polish, but not in that gloppy, goopy kind of way. This polish did not thicken during use, which always amazes me with thicker polish.

Application:
Change Is Good was a breeze to apply. The thickness works in its favor, allowing the glitter to spread evenly on the nail. This girl stays where you put her, which means little to no clean up needed, which is always a HUGE bonus with microglitter. CIG does start out a bit sheer, but builds nicely with the second coat. I'm wearing 2 coats here, and those "bald" spots you see are actually a result of my being overly aggressive with my gelous, and applying the gelous before the glitter had started to dry. I feel like with a 3rd coat I may have been able to avoid that even with my heavy hand. CIG does not dry gritty, but I added a coat of gelous to add some extra shine. I also want to mention that CIG is a bit more opaque IRL - my lighting is pretty strong and it tends to shine through lighter jelly bases.

I'm highly impressed with Twenty Seven Polish. This is the third polish that I have worn by Twenty Seven and I have loved them all. Lisa certainly creates some winners!
