Good Morning Lovelies!! Happy Caturday! Charlie says hello, and that she requires donations of catnip and tuna fish. She's currently making kitteh muffins (kneading) on my bath robe, in a complete trance. It must be terribly hard to be a kitteh, huh? It's also Small Business Saturday, so be sure to spend your hard earned $$ at small businesses today!

Today I have another awesome Twenty Seven Polish to share! Can you tell I am addicted to these? This gem is called Picnic, and is a mind-blowing mix of Pink, Green, and Black Square, Round, and microglitters in a clear base. Lisa says it reminds her of Watermelon Laffy Taffy (yum!) and I have to agree! Honestly, this is one of my fave combos ever. I'm still wearing it, and refuse to take it off until I have to!
Picnic is so incredibly vibrant and beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. This is one that I may have to re-swatch when my new light tent and lighting set-up comes in. I cannot stop staring at my nails! If you're a fan of ultra-fun unique glitters, you NEED this!
For these photos I started with a base of Essie Off The Shoulder, A vibrant, medium pink. Then I added one coat (seriously, this is a single coat!) of Picnic, topped it with a oat of Gelous and a coat of SV, and sat back and oooohed and aaaaawed at the results. For some reason my camera insists on making this a bit more peach than IRL.
I really wish I had my light tent - this combo is so vibrant and yummy IRL. Kind of makes me want to lick my nails since it really does look alot like Watermelon Laffy Taffy! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
Formula:
Picnic has the usual thick Indie formula, which I absolutely love in a glitter. Really makes grabbing those little glitters easy. No thickening during use, and no glopping or gooping.
Application:
Picnic is by far one of the nicest glitters I have ever used. This flowed freely, evenly, and I didn't have to double-dip or fish for glitter. No hand placing or dabbing, this glitter almost applied itself. It is one of the least gritty glitters as well, but I still needed a coat of Gelous to really smooth it out. Dry time was impressively as well.
I am simply head over heels for this one. The color combination is so bright and happy, and the layering possibilities are numerous. I definitely see this in heavy rotation on my nails. I really wish you could see this baby in person! It's so much fun!
