Twenty Seven Polish - Lazy Summer

Hello loves! Now that the challenge is over, I can focus on other projects. It's still a bit bittersweet, but it also means that I can show you more cool Indie polishes! I don't know about you, but I am loving Indie Polish in a huge way. I have some awesome Indie brands coming up, so be sure to check back. But first, just a reminder that my A England Giveaway will start once my Facebook Page hits 100 likes - go here to like the page and get us closer to the giveaway!

Also, if you aren't already following me via GFC, the widget will not work unless you are on the .com page. If you found me at kimberslacquerkorner.blogspot.com, Click on the link in the left sidebar to go to the .com page, then you can use the follow widget. Now, onto the polish!

Today I have another Twenty Seven Polish to show you all. As you're well aware, I am a huge fan of Twenty Seven. Lisa has some gorgeous polish in her Etsy shop, and she's adding new colors all the time. I have a bunch on the way, and I cannot wait to wear them. Today's polish is quite possibly my very favorite of all the Twenty Sevens I've tried so far. It was the second polish I looked at in Lisa's shop, and the second I saw it I literally said "woah!" out loud.

Lazy Summer is a faboulous neon blue jelly packed with Matte glitters. Black and White squares, Blue round, white round, white microglitter and even a few blue stars - what an awesome mix! I love this baby so much that I've worn this one twice as well (which we all know is a rarity for me!). Let's have a peek!

Can you see the stars? LOVE!!!!!! The combination of the neon blue jelly with the matte glitters makes me giddy. This  polish really does remind me of Summer, and it's the perfect pick-me-up polish on a gloomy day.  I've been wearing this for 2 days now and I still can't stop staring at my nails.

Formula:
Like most Indie's, Lazy Summer has a thicker than usual formula.  If you prefer a thinner polish, a few drops of thinner will do the trick. Despite the thickness of this girl, I had no issues with thickening during use, glopping or gooping.

Application:
Lazy Summer applied smoothly and evenly. I kept it thick for the first coat, then thinned it a bit for the 2nd and 3rd. The thickness makes picking up glitter a breeze, but I thinned it out for my final coats since I didn't want to overwhelm the jelly with too much glitter. No problems with lack of glitter on the brush with this one! I had no issues with dragging or balding, and Lazy Summer stayed where I put it, virtually no cleanup required. In the places where I did accidentally knock the brush against my fingertip (wrapping shorter nails is hard!), the polish did not stain at all, which is a bonus with blues. It does dry semi-matte due to the neon, but since it's a heavy glitter I topped it with a good coat of Gelous and a coat of SV, which made it lovely and shiny (although the gelous did bubble a bit, but it's not visible in IRL). Lots of depth to this girl! Wear is excellent - I've had this one for 2 days now and have no chips and very minimal tip wear from typing. Since this is a jelly, it is fairly sheer and requires at least 2 coats for any kind of opacity. I'm wearing 3 coats, for color intensity and depth, however it looks just as stunning at 2 coats.

Lazy Summer is definitely in my top 10 polishes. I am just in love with this combination of neon jelly and matte glitter. It's so vibrant and fun! It's also one of those polishes that people can't help but notice and ask about. I've had several people stop me and ask how I got my polish to look like this! I was fairly amused standing in the middle of Sally's and telling people to go buy polish on Etsy!

Twenty Seven Polish can be found here, or by visiting Lisa's shop directly at http://www.etsy.com/shop/twentysevenpolish .  All Twenty Seven Polish s 3 free and full size bottles retail for $7. Lisa also offers deals on minis, so be sure to check those out! As a bonus, Lisa has generously allowed me to share her 20% off code with you! Just use code 27WIN at checkout!

What do you think of Lazy Summer? Would you rock this during the winter months?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
