Good Morning Lovelies! Happy Tuesday! I had planned on showing you some Polish TBH today, but since yesterday was another busy day, I wasn't able to photograph that one, so I'll have to post that later today. I do, however, have some Polish Addict Nail Color for you! But before we get to that - everyone  do a little chant so to help my little shorties grow! I'm finally at the point where both hands are *close* in length, and am going to just let them grow now. As much as I like shorties, I am really missing my length, so let's hope they grow fast!

Polish Addict is a well known Indie Polish Brand that I first came across on Sassy Paints. You may remember Jellyfish II, a really cool neutral with glitter that glows in the dark, which is still one of my fave Polish Addict polishes. Today I have another one of Laura's glitter's to share with you. This polish is the one that I had actually swatched twice before, and managed to lose the pictures. My son, who loves to look at my polish, had also snatched this and stashed it under my polish table so I had to hunt for it to re-swatch it! I have finally conquered this polish though - muahahahaha!

Indian Summer is a mix of Orange, Bronze, Gold, Yellow, Red and Brown glitters in various sizes and shapes in a shimmery golden yellow base. This polish actually reminds me of the leaves in the fall (and jumping into a huge pile of them when I was a kid!). This girl is seriously packed with glitter, so I chose to wear her alone. I had seen a lovely swatch of Indian Summer by Samarium's Swatches where she layered this polish, so why not try it all by itself, right? I do need to note that Samarium's Swatches noted this polish had a clear base, and I'm not certain if Laura re-formulated this with the shimmer.

This is 2 coats of Indian Summer topped with NPB Glitter Food and top coat:

Can you see those gorgeous Bronze and Gold glitters? I particularly love the larger Hex glitters in this. Those make me wish that I had layered this girl, but in all honesty I didn't have a base polish that really showed this polish true to its colors.

Indian Summer's Formula was actually fairly easy to work with for a glitter bomb. It is thicker than some polish due to the amount of glitter, but I was able to get thin, even coats. I did add a couple drops of thinner since I was worried that some of the glitters would cover the larger hex glitters, but those babies stood out regardless. Application was fairly easy, with the only issue being the smaller bar glitters. Those really wanted to hang out at the edge of my nails, but I was able to nudge them back into place. I do recommend letting this girl dry a bit between coats - the larger glitters will want to migrate a bit otherwise. Indian Summer, albeit a glitter bomb, did not dry as textured as I had expected. I did add a coat of Glitter Food to one hand, but on the other I used just my usual top coat and still had a smooth surface.

I have to say, this is one of the most unique glitters that I have come across yet. The color combination and the shape and sizes of the glitters really does remind me of fallen leaves, and the golden light breaking through the sycamore trees outside my old house in Santa Barbara. Ahhhhh memories!

You can find Polish Addict Nail Color on Big Cartel (although the store was down for maintenance this week but should be back up soon!). Most full size polishes sell for around $9.00. You can also follow Polish Addict on Facebook and Instagram (@polishaddictnailcolor) for updates, re-stock info, new releases and more!

What do you think of Indian Summer? Doesn't it remind you of changing leaves?

I'm hoping to be back with some Polish TBH later today and an ABC Challenge Post tomorrow (although this week is letter X, and I am stumped!).

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
-Kimber
