31 Day Challenge, Day 28: Inspired by a Flag

I'll admit that I rushed through this challenge since I wasn't particularly inspired. I didn't want to do the same flags that other bloggers have done, and I had a very hard time finding any inspiration at all. I eventually settled on racing flags (Nasar, IRL, etc.), but still wasn't very inspired.  In the end, this mani just would not come together for me at all. It didnt matter what I outlined the checkers with, white or black, it didnt look right at all. But after an hour or so, I just let it be and this is what I ended up with. I'm disappointed in this one. The concept is okay, but the execution leaves much to be desired!!This mani is so tragic that I feel bad subjecting you guys to it! I managed to smear the hell out of it while putting the baby to bed, and there was zero natural light for pics. Just a mess!

There ya have it. Inspired by the White, Green, Red, and checkered flags in racing.  Someday I'll try checkers again, and manage to get it right! :)
